Se7en, The Graphic Novels
Filed under: Animation, Thrillers, Deals, Fandom, Home Entertainment, Remakes and Sequels
Were you a big fan of Kevin Spacey's creepy, creepy film Se7en? Are you willing to accept that graphic novels are a legitimate and enjoyable form of art and story telling? If you answered yes to both of these questions, then oh boy is this post going to make you one happy fan! It was announced a few months back the film would find a second life in graphic novel form (a medium I think is fantastic for such a work), and today we've got the first look at the interiors ("pages") from book one, Gluttony.Swing by ComicBookResources to check out a solid interview with artist Tommy Castillo, and peep several of the early pages for the book. It is a fun read, and an even more fun (funner?) look. The pages look excellent; if they are any indication of the final product, we are definitely looking at a very solid piece of work. Look for the first book to hit the shelves this September!

Am I the only one who thinks it weird you labeled it as Kevin Spacey's?

You're not the only one. David Fincher's "Se7en" - ok. Even Brad Pitt's "Se7en" - but Kevin Spacey's? Please.

Such a bad idea to visualise the murders from the movie Se7en.
The only on-screen murder in the movie was the last one - and even then the viewer doesn't really get to see it properly.
That's the whole point.
I'm not interested in seeing how the fat guy got force-fed. The thought that someone did it to him is more horrific than the act itself.
I'm sure people will buy this thing, but it's got bad idea written all over it - and it's about 11 years too late.

Hah. Fair enough, guys. I wrote this one early in the morning, and Spacey was the first name to jump to mind.
