Wal-Mart Gets X3 Exclusive

Before I start this post, I just want you to notice that I avoided using the "X-Clusive" pun in the title. It was tough, trust me, but I managed to dodge the bullet. You're welcome. Okay, there has been general murmurings of discontent since Fox announced that, while they have indeed put together a fancy two-disc feature set for the DVD release of X-Men 3: The Last Stand, it will not be shared with American audiences until they've had time to bleed some extra cash from us by releasing a crappy single disc feature first, in a classic "double dipping" move. However, you can console yourself, if you so desire, by purchasing your DVD at Wal-Mart, where you will be given an extra bonus DVD with 50 some minutes of exclusive behind the scenes footage. It isn't the fancy special edition you know they'll be selling to you later, but hey, it is a chance to spend twenty bucks on a movie you can spend thirty more bucks on in a few months. Aren't you the lucky one?

This is just the Fox trying to make more money off a great movie. The 2 disc option will most likely be released closer to the Wolverine prequel due out later next year.

They should not even bother to release this rubbish film onto DVD. It is so bad that it barely deserves a VHS or Beta release...

I am in complete agreement with Mark Beall, love your enthusiasm and strightforwardness, about the two disc set on X3. I had a chance to purchase it two weeks ago, 10/02, when Wal-Mart had it with a single disc $14, a Stan Lee comic book included $17 disc, and the $19.99 bonus disc version. I skipped them all not able to decide which one to get what with the Trilogy set available as well. I am plunking down my $20 today, 10/16, and most likely as Mark said I will be plunking down my $30 later for the special edition which should be available now. Twentieth would probably get my $30 anyway as I can hardly resist "bonus" disc of any kind.
Thanks for your review.
$485 Million it must be good and worthy of release and hopefully Hugh Jackman is wrong there will be more with him as Wolverine included.
