Jackass: Number Two Goes Number One
In a boost to a box-office that had been crawling along the past two weeks, Johnny Knoxville and co's Jackass: Number Two claims top spot at the box office, raking in an estimated $28.1 million dollars. Along with that haul will probably come numerous copycats, wannabees, and lawsuits. But if you can make a good living by taking shots to the crotch, then more power to you.Other box office movements include Jet Li's Fearless and Flyboys debuting at numbers two and four, respectively, and the powerslide of The Black Dahlia from second place to sixth, ouch.
The Rock's Gridiron Gang continues to gain yardage, huddling up at the number three spot with a total box office of $27 million to-date, and Little Miss Sunshine is the little engine that could, hanging on to tenth place and crossing the $50 million mark.

Why the hell would people even consider watching that piece of crap? I mean come on how many times can you see someone make a total ass out of themselves?

In regards to the first comment, how many times can you watch a movie where a guy and girl meet, fall in love, go seperate ways then get back together?? Well to be honest thats the same storyline in almost any chick flick known to man but yet all these women flock to go see these movies. So Basically i think that you should give props to the guys who did the jackass movie. they risked their health and/or lives to offer something different to the audience. Something that cannot be repeated. So lighten up a little bit and enjoy laughing your ass off at this awesome movie.

TO answer the first comment about why people would go and see this movie: because some of us actually enjoying laughing. Some of us actually lack the freedom to be able and go out and do the stupid fun things that these guys like to do and so we have to watch them do it so that we can feel like we are at least a part of it. And who doesn't want to laugh until you start to cry because it's so funny.

Say what you want but it was EASILY the most enjoyable movie I've seen this year. In fact I'm sure I'll be seeing it again soon.
It's just fun. Personally, I'm not a fan of the Oscar-nominated movies. You couldn't get me into the theater to see something like All The King's Men with an ether rag and a wheelbarrow.
Is Jackass a good movie? No. It's just fun.

and uh, this is a deep dark secret pleasure...
Ever heard the Director/Cast Commentator of Jackass the DVD?
It is one of the funniest commentary tracks I have ever heard...
Laughing is contagious... but it actually provided a bird's eye view of each and every stunt... and that they were *thinkin* or their lack of common sense during each sequence...
*don't ask... lol
