Transformers Wraps Filming

Well folks, like it or not, the new Transformers flick is fastly heading towards us. Producer Don Murphy just dropped by the message boards on his homepage to announce the end of primary filming, as of Sunday the 24th. This week, according to Murphy, some much smaller cast groups will continue with pick up and establishing shots in various parks. Beyond that, some filming remains to be done in the "frozen north," and all will be finished. There is, of course, tons of work yet to be done, as we all know a movie doesn't go straight from filming into the theaters. Regarding the remaining work, Murphy said: "If ever there was a film that was really going to be made in post production, this is it. Much editing and many effects to go."Director Michael Bay films traditionally do rely heavily on effects work -- it is his strong suit, after all -- and one can only imagine how much effects work will be poured into a film as ambitious as a live action Transformers flick. we all know a movie doesn't go straight from filming into the theaters
Since this is a Michael Bay film we know that all the footage must first be dumped into a blender operated by crack-addicted, hyper-kinetic monkey for editing.

A movie about toys directed by Michael Bay. Guaranteed to be one of the worst movies of all time. Battlefield Earth, anyone?
