BloodRayne 2: The Return of Uwe Boll
Filed under: RumorMonger, Comic/Superhero/Geek, Remakes and Sequels
Rumors continue to pick up steam that fanboy unfavorite Uwe Boll is planning a second and possibly third installment in a BloodRayne series of films, which might actually be the second and third signs of the approaching apocalypse. The original film, which was based on a video game (as if the Uwe Boll's name alone didn't tip you off) and starred Kristanna Loken, set off an extremely loud bomb at the box office, then fizzled into oblivion. The new film would have Rayne fighting vampires in the old west, presumably in an effort to let Boll try and develop a sense of stylish filmmaking. "Dead Noon" ... we can see the posters now. Since the first film cost $25 million to make, and grossed $2.5 million in its opening weekend, is anyone doing the math here? This was a movie so bad they had to give away the BloodRayne 2 video game on the DVD in order to try and generate sales. Not only that, but it's also been panned universally ... and when I say universally, I mean people in other galaxies wrote to tell us how bad this movie was.
As if that isn't enough, Loken and Boll have already finished shooting another video game to movie adaptation, the thrillingly titled In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale. No word on where Ben Kingsley stands on this one.

I don't normally comment on these kinda things, but... uwe boll is the worst damn director I have ever seen... He completely rapes these stories of these games of anything worth while... the alone in the dark movie was so rediculous its not even funny... What the hell did it have to do with the games story? I don't remember having a team of commandos backing me up when I played... I was ALONE IN THE DARK... Who the hell keeps giving this jackass the ok? Has he ever done a half decent movie? HAS HE EVER PLAYED THE GAMES HE DOES MOVIES OF!?!

Dear God, NO!
He should be locked away, far from movie cameras, movie sets, movie actors, video games, anything that he could potentially destroy. >_<
I was actually looking forward to the first bloodrayne movie because I played the game and really liked it. As soon as I heard who was directing it, I knew it was doomed. :X
Hopefully he won't get his hands on Metal Gear Solid or anything like that. Maybe then we can get an angry mob going....
