It's Time for Cinematical's 2nd Annual Halloween Costume Contest!

Okay, we told you we wouldn't put up the official post about our Second Annual Halloween Costume Contest until closer to the 24th, but what can we say? We're so excited about it we just couldn't wait another day to give you the official rules -- and tell you what the prizes are. We want you to have plenty of time to plan for and prep your fabulous costumes, because if last year's entries are any indication, the competition is going to be stiff! Jack and Sally, pictured above, were just one of the many fabulous entries in last year's contest.

So what do are you competing for? A spooktacular (yes, I really did just say that) prize package of 13 horror DVDs hand-selected by our Cinematical staffers, PLUS a sexy and highly desirable Cinematical t-shirt! Two runners-up will win Cinematical t-shirts. And all that can be yours, if you have the costume our readers think is the best! Here are the DVDs the lucky winner will be adding to his or her collection:

Rules below the fold (yeah, they're boring, but necessary):

1. Your picture must include you, the entrant, (or a minor child if you are submitting a picture of a child's costume) wearing a costume inspired by a film, filmmaker, actor, director, etc.

2. Pictures must be acceptable for publication on Cinematical. No costumes that are obscene or show nudity will be considered.

3 Group entries are acceptable, but if a group's picture is chosen as the prize winner, only one prize will be awarded to that winning entry. Prize will be awarded to the person submitting the entry.

4. Email a digital photo in .JPG, .PNG, .GIF, or .PSP format to the following email address: kim@cinematical.com ,with the subject line "HALLOWEEN COSTUME CONTEST."

5. Deadline for submitting entries is 11:59PM EST, Wednesday, November 1, 2006. Entries received after the deadline will not be considered. We are not responsible for delays caused by technical difficulties, slow mail servers, mistyped email addresses, etc. If it's not in our inbox by the deadline, it will not be considered.

6. All photos submitted become the property of Cinematical, and by submitting them you agree that we can use the photo on our website. The finalists photos will be featured on the website and voted on by readers.

7. Winners will be announced on Friday, November 11, 2006 and your prize will be ordered and shipped to you shortly thereafter.
