Harrison Ford Says He's Ready for More Indy
Filed under: Action, Casting, Fandom, Remakes and Sequels
Like it or not, folks, it is beginning to look like the long- rumored and much-debated Indiana Jones 4 is heading towards some sort of reality. Not only have mega-powers George Lucas and Steven Spielberg been increasingly vocal in talking about the project, star Harrison Ford is starting to get in on the conversation as well. At the recent Rome Film Fest, Ford declared himself "fit to continue and bring the same physical action" to the franchise, and excited to return to the character. He also indicated the possible return of co-star Sean Connery, saying "He's part of the emotional fabric of these films. I think there may be an opportunity, I believe that Sean is still willing and I'd be delighted if he joined us."One can see why Harrison Ford may be interested in this film despite its dubious merits. Not only is Indiana Jones one of Ford's most famous and well-beloved characters, but the man has also been experiencing something of a box office slump this past ... well, decade or so. Although it may be something of a risk to bring the franchise back to life, Ford's career really isn't in danger of tanking further, and it isn't like the guy really needs the money at this stage in his career. If he wants to revitalize himself he's going to need to take a risk or two somewhere -- but is this the right risk to take?

Sorry mates, but it ain't gonna happen. Just cause Han Solo reminisences in Rome about his past trilogy doesn't mean George Luca$ and $teven are going to move their billionare asses and take such risk and ruin a concluded trilogy. I mean where will they go next? to space? My wishfull thinking is why not? I'd like to see it if it ever gets done. But keep in mind that Junior is 5 years older now than when mister Jones senior was in The Last Crusade. My final point is that Harrison and his bosses should do another movie trilogy instead. I'm sure they got so many good scripts waiting to be filmed, so many other good stories to be told. Guys move on!!! But If it gets done and they want to spend money on nostalgia then get the two leading ladies back (Kate Capshaw and Marion)Both with children from Indiana. Also bring Short Round back. let the kids do most of the action: ala Goonies. And for God's sake- enough with the Nazis. "Only then will I see it."

I dunno ...Indiana Jones using a walking stick instead of a whip does not sound appealing.

Well, if Spielberg and Lucas finally get a good script, maybe it'll be a go. The working title?
"Indiana Jones and the Temple of Assisted Living."
