Edgar Ramirez to Play Bourne Baddie?

With production currently in full swing and no bad guy attached, folks behind The Bourne Ultimatum had to work fast in order to find a satisfying male villain. After Gael García Bernal turned down the role recently, Empire Online has learned that Edgar Ramirez has jumped onboard instead, rounding out a cast that already includes Matt Damon, Julia Stiles, Joan Allen and David Strathairn.
Ramirez will take on the role of Paz, an assassin and yet another person searching for the ever-allusive Jason Bourne. For those who don't know who Ramirez is, he's probably best known in the US for his role opposite Keira Knightley in Domino, but apart from that he's starred in several Spanish-language films like Elipsis and Punto y raya (which was also Venezuela's official submission for the 2005 Academy Awards in the Foreign Language category). Personally, I'm not familiar with the dude's work, so perhaps some of you who are can chime in and let us know whether or not you feel he will make a good Bourne baddie.

Edgar Ramirez is a wonderful actor, Of course in my opinion. If you like Benicio Del Toro, you love Edgar. He's awesome.

I thought he was great in Domino. Gael Garcia Bernal would have been interesting, but this will be good too.

He is gorgeous besides being a good actor. I just hope this does not type cast him as a baddie in every movie. He is too hot to not be a romantic character in movies. Would love to eventually see him as lead actor in serious romantic part.
