45 Years of Bondage: Every Bond Movie Trailer
Filed under: Action, Classics, MGM, United Artists, Movie Marketing, James Bond, Seven Days of 007

If you haven't seen any or all of the previous 20 Bond films, then you can catch yourself up by watching the trailers for all of the movies. Extremely enterprising YouTube user famouswillie (and other folks with an extraordinary amount of free time on their hands) have made us very happy Cinemites by doing the tedious uploading work for us.
After the jump check out the trailer for every Bond film up through Casino Royale, and some bonus video treats at the very bottom of the list.
These trailers also serve as a sort of visual history of film. It's especially eye-opening to contrast the Dr. No trailer with the one for Casino Royale. We certainly have come a long way, Mr. Bond.
Dr. No
From Russia With Love
Goldfinger
Thunderball
You Only Live Twice
On Her Majesty's Secret Service
Diamonds Are Forever
Live And Let Die
The Man With The Golden Gun
The Spy Who Loved Me
Moonraker
For Your Eyes Only
Octopussy
A View To A Kill
The Living Daylights
Licence to Kill
GoldenEye
Tomorrow Never Dies
The World Is Not Enough
Die Another Day
Casino Royale
Added video bonus!
1967's Casino Royale spoof with six different James Bonds, including Peter Sellers and David Niven, is pretty funny if you haven't seen it. The theme song became a hit for Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass. Here's the opening of it for your enjoyment.
Never Say Never Again was the second non EON Productions (the company that has produced all of the James Bond films that are considered to be "official") film to be produced. Through a series of legal battles, this film was produced outside of United Artists, but could only be made as a remake of Thunderball. Confused yet? They managed to lure Connery back to the role for this one, and the title comes from a quote he gave when he was asked if he would ever play James Bond again, after Diamonds Are Forever. His answer, "Never again." Even though it's not considered part of the main canon of films, it's worth finding and watching. Especially for Connery's famous urine sample scene.

This is awesome! One place to see all of the trailers! I had no idea Never say Never Again was not a 'true' Bond film. You learn something new everyday eh?

Interesting that the voice of Blofeld in the For Your Eyes Only trailer was not the one used in the film. (trivia note, the guy who voiced Blofeld was the same actor who played Largo in Thunderball. Talk about confusion of characters)

For Bond afficionados, "Never Say Never Again" was produced by Kevin McClory who worked on the Thunderball script with Ian Fleming and claimed a co-right to make Bond films. While he managed to successfully assert a right to remake Thunderball, he tried to broaden his ownership to make new stories. The resulting lawsuit consumed many years, so no Bond films were made during the pendency of the suit, in case anyone was wondering why the hiatus.
