It was only just a little over a month ago when Jeffery had the news of an upcoming film on the life of rock legend Freddie Mercury. So, it shouldn't be a surprise that already rumors are flying fast and furious as to who is going to get play Mercury in the upcoming biopic.An article in the UK newspaper The Independent *
Since this is all just speculation at this point, it could be a while before anyone signs on the dotted line. But, I have to admit it would be nice to see Depp on land again. If nothing else, if they decide re-enact the video for I Want To Break Free, at least we know for certain that Depp can handle walking in heels.

Yea I think he can pull it off, Johnny Depp can in fact act, he's played a scissor hand man, a candy loving man, and a young undercover cop which happens to be my favorite show (21 Jump Street) lol. And now to become one of the most influential lead singers of all time. If he really is the choice to play the late great Freddie Mercury, then it might just be a hit. Johnny Depp is nominated for a People's Choice Award for Favorite Male Action Star. His film "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" is also nominated for Favorite Movie. I voted early because I work with the People's Choice Community. The People's Choice Award airs Jan 9th on CBS at 9pm and Queen Latifah is this year's host. I love Freddie Mercury, he is the best musician of all time, and johnny depp would be fantastic as Freddie. If you think about it, who else would be able to pull off freddie's unique personality and stage performance better than Depp? I'm really looking forward to watching it!
