DISCUSS: Biggest Movies of 2007
We here at Moviefone don't like to live in the past (we'd still be wearing Cavariccis if we did). So with 2006 just barely in the can, we're already looking ahead to the 2007 flicks that have us salivating like John Goodman in a Dunkin' Donuts.
Check out Moviefone's Big in '07 -- where we count down 20 of the year's most anticipated films -- then share your picks for the 2007 flicks that have you all hot and bothered.

your 2007 movie selection is almost pathethic! Yes Spidey will be big, along with Pirates 3,but Transformers will be in the top 10 easily this year. What about the new ninja turtles movie? What about the fantastic 4 Sequel which looks better by all respects. There was very few in the top 20 that will even come close to that 100 million spot!
The Real list
1.Spiderman 3
2.Pirates 3 World's End
3.Transformers
4.Fantastic 4 Rise of the Silver Surfer
5.Teanage Mutant Ninja Turtles
6.300
7.Grindhouse
8.Ghost Rider
9.Rush Hour 3
10.Rambo 4
Forget the Rest......

What about "The Wind That Shakes The Barley" which is
scheduled to open in the USA on March 14? It won TOP
honors ( unamimous decision ) at the Cannes Film Festival
and is one of the most talked about films in Europe.
It's about the Irish Civil War of 1920 but could not be
more relevant to today's situation(s). It stars Cillian
Murphy. It's an amazing film. Very powerful. Deserves to
be in your top 20, at least.

Personally, I think Pirates is losing steam. I LOVE the first movie, but while the second may have been more serious and yet at the same time, more laughs, it had far less substance. I think its gonna fizzle out. Pirates should be...I don't know...number 4 or five or six. While the Harry Potter films keep getting better and better, and the Spider Man films have preserved quality and managed to add intricate suspenseful plot-twists, I don't think Pirates will be up to scratch. I'll see it, but I don't have faith in it.

What about Hairspray!!! I can't wait to see John Travolta as Edna Turnblatt!!!! And Michelle Pfeifer and hottie James Marsden. And of course, let's not forget Teen Idols Zach Efron and Amanda Bynes.
of course though, I am a huge Johnny Depp and fan of the POTC movies so these are two must sees for me.
And don't forget Harry, Ron and Hermione.

What an idiot! That idiot made the list WITHOUT RUSH HOUR 3!!!!????? COME ON! I would like the author of this list of top 20 movies for Summer 2007 to apologize and retract by saying Rush Hour 3 is one of top 20 movies to see. I know they have had problems but come on!!! I know it will be in top 20! I am very disappointed!!! Some other movies I havent heard of shouldnt be on the list like 300 and Transfomer (I think that is what it is called). Please! Lesser heard movies shouldnt be on the list!!!! Even Almighty!!??? That is a spinoff of that idiot movie Bruce Almighty. True God hates idols as said in the Bible! They are gonna be sorry!!!
Yeah, quite a bit of movies are in their 3rd sequels. I knew that for at least 2 years now. Last night before the list, I told my wife 4 movies with 3 on it. Wow, now I can say 6 of them are! This year is about three!
Hmm, does that tell you something about 3? Maybe the Trinity as said in 1 John 5:7 KJV Bible?? That is for you to find out in your hearts. God bless!

NONE - I am sick of these so called celebrities who have given nothing and earned nothing just for being in a movie that we all hate. Boycott them all.

I am so glad they included 300 on this list. I am sooo pumped to see Gerard Butler pumped!!!
Oh and speaking of Gerard...forget Beowulf 07 and go and find his portrayal as Beowulf in the movie Beowulf & Grendel at your local video store, released last year. I love that movie and Gerry does what he does best....he acts with his facial expressions.

I think "Knocked up" looks ridiculous, who wants to watch a movie about an inrisponsible women who gets pregnat?
& shrek the third? no offense but they were pushing shrek with number two i think the 3rd has to do some serrious work to be "good"
the rest of this list looks good i'd say it's 75% correct. lol

"Brian's" list gets it more right then Moviefone.
Where's Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer? The new teaser for that film is phenomenal. Like both the Spider-Man and X-Men franchises, FF's quality will leap forward from movie one to movie two. FF: Rise of the Silver Surfer will be the sleeper hit of the year.
From Ghost Rider to 300 to Spider-Man 3 to FF2, this will be THE year of great comic adaptation films!
