A 'Perhaps' From Connery on Indiana Jones 4

Back in the late 1980s when I first heard that Sean Connery would be playing the father of Indiana Jones in the franchise's third installment, I was ecstatic. Who better to play the sire of filmdom's greatest swashbuckler? When Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade hit theaters in 1989, I was a bit surprised by Connery's take on the character, with less daring do and perhaps more humor than I had expected, making the character all the more memorable. The winning chemistry between Connery and Harrison Ford was icing on the cake."Perhaps," is the term Connery used when Scotland on Sunday asked if he would be reprising his role as Dr. Henry Jones in the newest Indiana Jones film, set to go before the cameras this summer. It's all down to the script apparently, which Connery had not yet seen at the time of the interview. Connery has claimed to be retired from moviemaking in recent years, but one hopes that if anything can coax him in front of the cameras it would be the Indiana series. If for no other reason, he shouldn't want The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen as the final entry on his resume.

it makes no difference to me (personally) if he is in the movie or not. it would be great if he was, just as long as the story is good and has lots of action.

I'm of the impression he doesn't necessarily mind doing it, he just needs to be convinced by Spielberg or Lucas or Ford.
It's pretty 50/50 though.

It isn't as if INDY 4 is going to be any better than LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN. Connery's moments in INDY 3 were the sole high points in that parade of boredom. I laughed every time he called Harrison Ford "Junior."
Is Connery enough to get me to shell out to see the film in theatres? Hell no. But I might give it a look on cable. For a few minutes. To see if Connery's any good.

I think it would be cool if Sean Connery was in there. I was actually surprised that he could still move pretty fast for such an old guy.
Christopher Lee does alright fro himself too.

Connery should be in the movie, Indy 3 was terrific.
League, was a very well done and great action movie. 10 ten.
He needs to do one last blockbuster kind of movie, after the LOTR turn down.
Cheers
