Lots More Hit the Road for Harold and Kumar 2

We knew it was coming, we knew where they were going, but we didn't know who would be joining them for another round of marijuana-induced adventures. And now we do. Eleven folks have joined Kal Penn (Kumar) and John Cho (Harold) in the long-awaited sequel to Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle. Harold and Kumar 2 (previously known as Harold and Kumar Go to Amsterdam ... except they don't really go to Amsterdam) has added -- deep breath -- David Krumholtz, Rob Corddry, Christopher Meloni, Ed Helms, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Paula Garcés, Jack Conley, Roger Bart, Danneel Harris, Eric Winter and -- drum roll please -- Neil Patrick Harris!
For die hard fans of the original film, the only name that really matters to you is Neil Patrick Harris, as his cameo in the first flick stole the show. Daily Show vets Corddry and Helms should also provide plenty of laughs along the way. Story picks up right where we left our two heroes: at White Castle, putting an end to their vicious case of the munchies. When Harold's crush Maria heads off to Amsterdam, the boys attempt to follow her ... only to be yanked off the plane when a fellow passenger suspects Kumar is a terrorist. From there, the duo travel a lot farther than the state of New Jersey -- from Guantanamo Bay, through the deep south and eventually ending up in "Bush country ..." all the while being chased by Homeland Security.
Production began last week in Louisiana, with original Harold and Kumar scribes John Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg writing and directing the follow-up. Currently, there's no word from New Line on a release date.

BTW, if you haven't seen Neil Patrick Harris in Undercover Brother, you don't know he can be funny, and can take a joke. His White Folk trivia is hysterical. Undercover Brother is hysterical.

If you needed any proof that Hollywood has run out of new and/or good ideas, the fact that a second Harold and Kumar movie is in the works is it. I've seen a lot of stupid movies in my day, but Harold and Kumar is definitely in the top five. It was brainless drivel, and it appeared that the movie was made up, if you will, as it was being filmed.
I regret that I wasted my hard-earned money ordering the first Harld and Kumar movie; I'm not going to waste my money on what could very well turn out to be the Dumbest Movie Ever Made.

"Dude Wheres My Car" was great fun! Just because a movie doesn't require you to analyze the content the entire time you are watching it doesn't make a movie bad, BRENDA.

I'm so glad they don't make it to Amsterdam, Eurotrip got us there and with more of a plot. H&K2 is going to be awesome and even though I'm not a huge stoner anymore, I'm hoping to help make 2 a success so we get to 3 and 4. Then, when the boxed set comes out, we can all have big smokeout parties watchin this ridiculously funny series of stoner/minority comedies. I'm fired up and I'm sorry you don't seem to have a sense of humor Joe.

Joe and Brenda: you just need to get some lives and get stoned. While Harold and Kumar may not compare to the Cheech & Chong or even the Friday series of movies, it is the next best thing, which is saying quite a lot. People like me need movies like these in order to make it through some days, when life in America just makes you want to get stoned - especially with King George and the Fox News channel ruling the country and brainwashing the peasants. Long live live the liberals, and especially - long live liberals who are stoners!!!
