Not a bad list, but what about 'The Crow', from the graphic novels of James O'Barr? I would have placed that at least second on the list, only possible topped by 'Sin City'...

My first thought when I saw this topic was, "The Crow had better be somewhere in the top five, at least!" Needless to say, I was very disappointed to see that it wasn't on the list at all. And what about "Men in Black," which was based on Lowell Cunningham's short-lived comic book? That was a terrific movie! Personally I also liked "From Hell" (adapted from another Alan Moore graphic novel), though I understand that I might not get a lot of agreement on that. But MIB and The Crow definitely need to find spots somewhere on your list!

I would like to say I think they did a pretty good job on this list, but I am just going to go ahead and say that spiderman 3 should be added in at number 1 because it is gong to be the best movie ever.

The list isn't bad because it did not exclude the best (top 10 of my list). I do not think Superman deserves 3. Only Superman 2 from the series is deserving. Superman Returns is tripe and is as bad as Man Thing. Hollywood should have gotten a clue from Superman Animated series what would be a good story for Supes but they instead did a tribute to Chistopher Reeves. Maudlin tripe.
Fantastic Four belongs on the list. Critics panned it but anybody who has read the comics and loved them also love this film. Johnny and Ben were right on and the whole team banter was also classic Marvel FF. Doom was a little over the top . The Punisher Extended Cut is also worthy, The theater version was lame but this version (essentially the same movie) is better. The extended footage is plot details making the movie better. It makes sense when you see how the mob uncovers who Frank Castle is. Daredevil also belongs on list, the extended version DVD is the better version but either belongs on the list. I would include Animated films in my list but since the list was all live actors My comments are based on excluding them as well.

Most of these I can get behind. But... CONSTANTINE?! That movie was such a trainwreck! They completely butchered John Constantine and the film lacked anything even resembling a decent movie. It was basically an hour and a half anti-smoking PSA with MTV directing.
There are so many comic films that are far superior to Constantine (and Mystery Men for that matter), including The Rocketeer, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Batman Returns, Blade, Men In Black and, of course, THE CROW! That movie deserves to be at least in the top five, if not at the very top of the list.

What about "The Rocketeer?" I know it's a Disney movie and a little campy, but the only reason no one went to see it when it was released was because Terminator 2 came out the same weekend. It's a solid movie with Paul Sorvino, Timothy Daulton, and a young Jennifer Connelly that would be even better if it was made now with all the computer effects advancements. Besides, what's better than a gold art deco helmet and the FBI and mafia teaming up to take out Nazis?

Why the hell is Constantine on this list? It is such crap. I really don't think the makers of the movie even read the book. Should not be on the list.
And you GINGRAS. You are so smoking crack. Superman returns is an excellent movie. The fact that Bryan Singer went out of his way to make it an homage to Reeves and still keep the movie coherent is nothing short of spectacular. And FF and DD should so not be on the list. These movies are okay. Not the best.
And speaking of the best. It is definitely a tragedy that the Crow is not on the list. Of all the movies to include, the Crow is not on there. Where's Howard the Duck? You got the Mystery Men and Constantine and Dick Tracy? Oh my God.

Seriously, Punisher was really well done, how is that not on the list? I mean The Hulk, Constintine, Hellboy, etc were not better then The Punisher in any way possible.

You should have stated that the movies had to be from the last few years. I thought that some of the choices were terrible. The best comic book movies were the Spy Smasher and Captain Marvel serials. Probably your readers have never seen them. The Phantom and the first Punisher movie were better then most of the movies listed.

Lets get serious guys. If you mean comic books then say comic books. X-men, spiderman, Superman, Fab 4, Hulk, Green Lantern, Spawn now those are comic books. Graphic novels are not. So if you mean comic book movies, stick with them and not some off the wall crap about "Graphic Novels."

Ghost Rider is the worst movie ever. My fiance loved the comic and couldn't wait for the film. Cage was just a big ham, and didn't seem believable. And Sam Elliot was wasted. The whole "last ride" was just stupid. What a joke.
