Solace in Cinema is now hosting the new poster for the film. I've actually seen Daywatch, and it seems to conclude pretty definitively. I was also under the impression it was a trilogy, but the ending of Daywatch (not to give anything away) doesn't leave much room to go forward with the characters, so I'm not sure there will be a third one.
That being said, i thought it was pretty terrific and wrapped things up nicely.

Fact check - both films are in fact written and directed by Timur Bekmambetov (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0067457/). He is also listed as director of DUSK WATCH, the third film in the trilogy, currently in production.
Laeta Elizabeth Kalogridis is a US-based screenwriter most famous recently for being tapped to adapt BATTLE ANGEL and THE DIVE for James Cameron. I assume she was responsible for the English translation/dub-script on NIGHT WATCH.

Night Watch was nearly unwatchable. Don't understand the "buzz" surrounding that or this one. Oh, and don't mean to nitpick, but it's "PIQUES" your interest...not peaks...

I can't believe you get paid to write and you wrote 'peaks your interest'. There is no God.

But I believe the books they are based on are a triology as well... with the last one being Dawn Watch?
