P.J. Pesce Will Direct 'The Lost Boys 2,' Source Says

Last June, we shared some scary news by way of Moviehole -- the Coreys were going to get their own television show. That news became a reality, with the upcoming: The Coreys: Return of the Lost Boys, where slacker Corey Haim comes to live with his reformed friend, Corey Feldman. My, how times have changed! Now the website has more lip-curling news for us -- the half desperately hoped for and half desperately loathed sequel to The Lost Boys, is one step closer to reality.In January, Scott Weinberg shared the all-too-scary news that the flick was getting a direct-to-DVD sequel with vamps on surfboards. There's no mention of surfing in the latest bit, but I know better than to be hopeful about this omission. The Lost Boys: The Tribe now has a director in P.J. Pesce, the guy who helmed From Dusk Till Dawn 3. Excited yet? No? Me neither. According to Shock Till You Drop, he'll be teamed with a script from The Hollow scribe Hans Rodionoff. I'm sorry, but it's happening, folks, with production to begin next month in Vancouver. And what's worse than a potentially terrible sequel from a beloved hit? A direct-to-DVD sequel that puts bloodsuckers on surfboards. Moviehole is also saying that while Feldman was originally part of the cast, it is "not on the cards anymore." So, all-new cast, and all-new crappiness. Sure, I'm pretty negative about this whole thing, but that's because there was only one way for this to possibly work -- get the old cast back, up the camp and make it a movie for the fans, not a cast-off sequel that gives no respect to the original.

I hate Warner Bros. For giving Corey Haim the shaft!Give the guy a break he is doing every thing he can.What more do you want?I swear if Warner Bros. makes a Crappy Lost Boys Sequel with out the two coreys & original cast I will be pissed!How could they do this to us?We have been waiting & hoping for a Lost Boys sequel for 20yrs.!So what if the cast are older you can work off that & add a few youngsters like Cory Haim is an Uncle & he goes to stay with his sister & his mom in California after his failed marriage & his sister has a 16yr.old son who is getting involved with this new genaration of vampires but the new genaration of vampires answers to the older generation of vampires these vampires have been waiting to get their revenge on Haim & Feldman for 20 yrs. for what they have done to them!They have been gathering strenth waiting for this day when haim starts seeing faces from his past & he starts to notice his nephews involvment with these shady characters & suspects they maybe a new genaration of vampires his only hope is to find the only person who maybe able to help him stop these young blood suckers from taking his nephew forever.Thats when Corey Feldman & the frog brothers come in.The frog brothers have been working as pest & rodent exterminators & they have been training & waiting for a chance to rid california of the biggest rodents of all.The blood sucking Vampires!So Haim & Feldman don’t waste anytime going over a plan that the frog brothers have been working on for 20yrs.!What could go wrong?When a visit from a face that they both never hoped to see alive shows up one night!They soon relise that they are gonna need a new plan fast!THATS ALL FOR NOW.I have been able to come up with an excellent sequel for the Lost Boys & If any one would like to know more or use these ideas & more e-mail me at spokendestiny@hotmail.com SAVE THE LOST BOYS! I like others have waited for over 20 yrs for a Lost Boys sequel WITH the surviving "original" cast who weren't killed in the 1st film.I was 30ish when the 1st one came out & loved it.Doing the sequel with vampires on surfboards as described above with NON related cast is as discusting as the re-make of SALEM'S LOT with Rob Lowe. & we ALL know how pathetic awful that turned out...
Isn't there anyway to cut this re-make off at the knees ? Why would they deliberately make a sequel that not only sounds stupid but i'm sure will turn out just as stupid.
Isn't it any wonder sequels & re-makes get a bad stigma attached to them THANKS to people like this who could care less. they prove it with the awful story line as described above.
Please someone WITH brains & who cares about the original movie do a seguel & release it to DVD to give those of us who care a choice of seguels to watch!!!!
lets let Warner Bros know how we feel !!
