'Step Up 2' Will Begin Filming This Summer

I think that Step Up 2 would be really good if the dancing and is stronger than the first and the story line goes more into all the characters lives after the showcase. The movie will do horrible if it doesn't have the same actors. I love movies and watch all kinds, but when you make a sequel without the original cast the movie ends up not doing well. So if the Step Up 2 is made the original cast better be in play, right down to the principal.....

I think Step Up 2 would be a great idea! The first one was so moving and you could feel when you watch it jus how hard it is to be a orphan teenager with no money and nothing to look forward to. Very moving.

OMG. Is my dream coming true. I have been in love w/ channing tatum since suppercross and if they did step up 2 with him my heart would just melt all over again. Step up is the best movie of all time. If the replace my dream love then the movie will be a sure flop like Prince & Me 2, Grease 2, need I say more.

Omg! i just found out that this guy called robert is tkaing lead role rather than channing tatum! i love step up coz i am a dancer but there not goin to be the same sparks between jenna and him that is if jenna is still playing nora! i hate it when movies do this it happened with grease 2 and i loved grease but hated grease 2, i hope it isnt but i think its goin to ruin it! yeh step up 2 should have the same actors as step up 1 ! its a sequel..so yeah. besides channing was really good in step up..so i reckon if he was in step up 2..it would be good again.

I think that Step Up 2 will be really good...i hope that Channing Tatum plays Tyler...for one thing he is smokin...the other thing he plays the part really well and if they get a different person to play him it wouldn't be the same.I wish that it wouldn't that so long to make the movie so we all could watch it. I hate the fact that Step Up stopped when it did I really wanted to see his fist day at MSN. But i cant wait for Step Up 2.

IF CHANNING ISN'T IN THIS ONE THERE IS NO POINT! he was seriously the person that made the movie so good. don't get me wrong, the movie was absolutely amazing, but channing just added that little something that made the movie really "amazing"
if a sequal is made without him, it's not worth watching and it will ruin the first one.

i loved the first step up movie so i hope the second movie has the same charactors.i think the movir would suck if they dont have the same charactors especially channing! i think the movie should follow up on the story lines of the charactorsand get more into their relationships and definetly bring the dancing to a higher level so it can be even better than the first.

Agree, this movie is going to suck bad. First off they are trying to do a movie about bboys and bgirls when they know NOTHING about it!! They put a girl in the lead that has never done a six-step in her entire life and they think they can just throw some prissy little jazz girl in the mix and make her look like a bgirl.

SO MANY REAL BGIRLS AUDITIONED FOR THIS ROLE AND THEY ALL GOT SCREWED. The only reason this girl booked it was because of Daddy's connections. She has NO breakdancing experience and she is not even a good commercial hip-hop dancer. She is a poser. She doesn't even have that bgirl style in any way!!! WHAT THE HELL ARE THESE PEOPLE THINKING THIS MOVIE IS GOING TO BE SUCH A JOKE. AND SO DISSAPOINTING THAT THEY DON'T RESPECT AND RECOGNIZE THAT BBOYING IS SO COMPLEX AND IT HAS SO MUCH HISTORY. YOU CAN'T MAKE A MOVIE ABOUT SOMETHING THAT YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO PORTRAY IN THE RIGHT LIGHT. My dog could dance circles around this girl. I think it is bull that they didn't select someone that is already a huge part of the bboy/bgirl community.

A bgirl wouldn't wear these clothes in a million years! They are so lame for doing this movie this way it is going to look so FAKE and WATERED DOWN and then other little kids that know no better are going to go imitate them and think that is what bboys and bgirls are thus continuing to represent us and water us down to a point where they have destroyed our art.

I think that step up #1 was awsome..and I cannot wait until the second one comes out..I will deff be watching it..and I am hoping that Channing Tatum will also star in this movie..I expect step up 2 to be just as great as step up 1 turned out to be...

I was so excited b/c step up was my favorite movie and i have all the songs on my ipod! One of my favorite things was the awesome soundtrack and that nora could really do pointe!! as a dancer that was a major plus! I also liked channing tatum and if he doesnt do it, i think it will SUCK!!!! HE IS SOO HOTT! I LOVE HIM!

I wish that Auditions could be entered into also by Canadians :(, i live in Toronto, been dancing for awhile and would love to audition for this movie, but Can't :( , is there an alternative
