Jessica Simpson's 'Blonde Ambition' Trailer Is Up
Filed under: Comedy, Romance, Trailer Trash, Movie Marketing
Or, as I've decided to call it, Jessica Simpson Doesn't Wear A Bra: The Movie. The first trailer for Blonde Ambition (aka the movie people thought was a loose remake of Working Girl) has just arrived online and, while I often try to reserve judgment until the thing at least hits theaters, I have to say this is one of the worst trailers I have ever seen. God, it's awful. And it's not even Simpson that makes it look so horrible; it just has this direct-to-DVD smell that permeates my brain cells. How, again, did they get Luke Wilson to star in this thing? "Millenium Films presents a story about knowing who you are and where you belong." Heh, I'll tell you where this film belongs ...
In case you're curious, Simpson plays some sort of small town hick who, using advice given to her by Willie Nelson (there's an on-screen reunion we were all just dying to see), decides to pack a bag and head to New York City in an attempt to shack up with an old boyfriend .... or something like that. However, when she finds out he's no longer interested, she crashes with Rachael Leigh Cook and tries to find some work. Luckily, there's some big corporate types looking for a dumb blonde to "manipulate" (fine plot point if I may say so myself). Throw in yet another corny performance from Andy Dick (Wow! Two awesome on-screen reunions in one flick!), and you have yourself Blonde Ambition; a film that's, thankfully, nothing like Working Girl. Feel free to call me out if you think I'm wrong, but this flick has 'Razzie Award' written all over it.

Right - Luke Wilson was in both Legally Blonde movies, so perhaps he's got a think for movies with "Blonde" in the title. Or, maybe, he's just got terrible taste in scripts and Old School was a fluke...

This movie looks like it belongs in the collection along with Anna Nicole Smith's new movie and instead of being a direct-to-dvd, it should be direct-to-trash. That was horrific!! I wouldn't watch it I had a gun pointed to my head by Jessica Simpson herself!!

Oh yeah. Like she's an actual blond. You'd think the power of Hollywood could at least get rid of her roots.

Jessica Simpson is a Bleached Brunette. She voluntarily joined the Bleached Brunettes and she's in the same huge product-related group as Reese Witherspoon (Legally Bleached Brunette), Pamela Anderson (Bleached and More Bleached), Anna Nicole Smith (ANS), Madonna (Bleached Brunette Ambition) and 70% of prostitutes in the USA. That's the group you join when you bleach. You don't join the Blonde people because that is a genetic group. Notice that these women and millions upon millions more Bleached Brunettes cause degrading words like bleached, dumb, bimbo, and peroxide to be linked to the name Blonde. Take the GOOD name Blonde away from them and what do they have? Waitressing jobs or the streets and frankly, that's what they're actually "worth". The Blonde people are actively disassociating with the Bleached Brunettes and we intend to take our name away from them. The bleach spot-light gives them immense, even fantastic, power over society and they know it whereas you don't. You think they have power but what they have is power over you. They desperately need to hide their looks, behaviors, attitudes and actions behind the name Blonde but Blondes are sick of being bullied and we want everyone to know about it because we are a tiny colour minority of 3% of Caucasians and they are a huge product group of 40% of Caucasians.

The trailer is totally cute, Jess looks adorable and Luke looks his usual sweet hot self. Tell me, since when does a critic do his/her critique without even watching the film? Talk about an awful review and pure laziness! And for all the hateful bloggers,... look in the mirror.

I think it looks better than most of the movie trailers I have seen. It looks 10 times better than Night at the Museum and while we are at it it looks better than Jennifer Garner's last movie and nobody downgraded her for making it. Seems like the public is jealous of Jessica ... why I cannot figure out.

I have to say its not horrible. It looks like every other C movie - and there are plenty of them. The problem with her is that she isn't PLAYING a dumb blonde... If she had only not exposed herself in that reality show, people may have thought she was a great actress.
