If you are reading this or if someone who knows him is reading this, please pass this onto Peter. My name is Glen Arkadieff. Last year I had contacted Patrick Swayze while he was performing in the 'Guys and Dolls' theatre shows in West End, London. I contacted him regarding the outline of a script and plot which I had created for a possible ‘Point Break 2’ sequel. I showed Patrick for consideration as a possible collaboration, which I strongly feel is highly visible.
The news which has just been announced is alarmingly starting to sound like the copy which I had shown to Patrick. Please be advised that if things begins to have a bad odour of a rip off, I will have no other choice but to pursue matters legally. I advise RGM to investigate where this sudden revival in a sequel has come from. If this new sequel has anything to do with the copy which I had created and shown in confidence, I also advise you to stop immediately and get in contact.

I hope you don't ruin a great movie... But i have to admitt I would like to audition for it. I look like bodhisattva's kid. I am twenty five years old same age as Reeves in point break

You guys should also try and get the original director as well. Her women touch is what added the sprituality to the film.(That was such a huge part of the film! Not just the action) I would also put the same music that was used in the opening of the movie and the skydiving scenes. Some tastefull flashbacks would also be nice. Tell patrick to start lifting!~PEACE

Point Break Indo is coming, and please somebody tell this Mr. Glen Arkadieff that Mr. Swayze did not approach us about a story, and there is no rip-off. Does Mr. Arkadieff actually believe the creator of the original would not have any ideas of him own on how to continue the story? As a longtime warrior of the Hollywood screen business, I understand how upsetting it is when you dedicate time and energy to a concept, only to find that ship has sailed. You have my sympathies, my writing brother. I sought out the rights last summer, looking to do a 22 episode TV remake of the original. But the rights were a bitch to find, Fox no longer had them. Then my reps discovered former Largo Biz Affairs Exec Chris Taylor had them. My agency, Endeavor, brought Mr. Taylor in, who said he was interested in equity financing the film with Singapore money. Then the idea struck that Bodhi would have survived, and fled off the grid to Indo, the last frontier of surfing. A particular smash and grab crime is rampant in that region, and suddenly the idea of a new Johnny Utah-type hero emerged. A pro surfer from the mean streets of Oxnard, who used to surf Pt. Magu, who after blowing his sponsorship, decides to join the Navy. He becomes a hero working the dangerous boarding teams that intercept vessels in the gulf. After his hitch, he is courted by a corporate Navy of mercs, who are out to stop a crew of criminals called the Bush Administration. It seems Bodhi, and his Asian son, have a new crew, and reason to get back into business. Our hero comes to understand this -- and the reason yet revealed as to why God might have spared Bodhi from that Bell's Beach wave. Our hero becoes conflicted between his heart and a dark mercenary code of conduct. This is a stand alone movie, that happens to feature Swayze's old character 17 years later. We might not even call it Point Break 2. What is important is that spirit and fun of the original shine through. Wish us luck. We won't begin shooting until Indonesia's dry season 2nd quarter of '08. That gives a first timer like me plenty of time to prepare, surround myself with only the best key positions, and get it right. What is important to remember, is everybody involved dearly loved the orginal. Chris Taylor mortgaged his house to get the rights and save Universal from making a cheesy direct to video disaster. We have our hearts in this. Mr. Swayze did not bring me anybody's story. In fact, he has no deal at the time, but I have been invited to his ranch for a cattle drive later this month. This story is my own, and I hope Mr. Glen Arkadieff can be at peace with that, and support us. --Peter Iliff

Point break has been my favorite movie since I was a kid and in many ways I have based many things in my life from it. I believe that if you want to capture the “spirit” and “fun” of the original you should look closely at the original and borrow as much as you can get away with. I think capturing the ocean through good cinematography, having good music, and realizing that bodhi stood for something other than getting “radical” are important topics. Furthermore, I feel one of the mane reasons Point Break was so successful was it had great characters that everyone gravitated to… “And of course, a great story.”

Seriously though, get the original director at all costs. She’ll be able to make all the right cuts. She is a good balance for the film and will bring out what it needs to be authentic. I believe that Katherine will not settle for some lame shit and strive for a real, true, and complete movie that will get everyone’s cosmic as well as adrenaline juices flowing.~PEACE

Point Break 1 is by far one of the greatest and most influential movies of all time. I agree with Michael. You must capture the original spirit and fun from PB1. There was a certain lifestyle that Bodhi and his crew lived which MUST be captured as well. I must say, PB2 must include Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves. Without them, there's no point of making Point Break 2. With that being said, the movie title should NOT change either. In addition, the movie should take place in where ever he "paddled" to at the end of PB1 and should then move back to California where the original movie took place. It's going to be tough making PB2 after many of PB1's characters died. Nothing is worse than when a sequel has nothing to do with the previous movie i.e. Live Free or Die Hard, Rocky XI, etc.

Good luck to the makers of Point Break 2. Good luck to Peter Iliff, Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves.

The other movie in mind which was terrible: Fast & Furios - Tokyo Drift. Come on!! The entire movie was based in Tokyo. It was terrible!
