Stan Lee Thinks Lizard Should Be Next Spidey Villain

You'd think that Spider-Man creator Stan Lee would receive privileged information about Spider-Man 4, but apparently he doesn't even know what is going on in the comics, let alone the movie scripts. Still, he is smart enough to know what should happen in the next installment of the series: Dr. Curt Connors, who we've briefly seen in parts 2 and 3, should finally turn into The Lizard. Of course, an appearance from the scaly villain has been expected since Connors was first alluded to in the first film. In addition to suggesting that The Lizard should be the next villain, in a video interview with Reelz Channel's Dailies, Lee also discusses the possibility of Peter Parker ending up with Gwen Stacy rather than Mary Jane in part 4.Lee's suggestion is simply that, a suggestion, as long as he has no real creative input, but he is right to say The Lizard is a logical next step. Certainly such logic makes it less of a surprise when we hear rumors about the villain already being a lock for the film. However, expecting a villain because of onscreen allusions means we should also logically predict that Man-Wolf and Robot-Master will show up at some point, too. Anyway, Lee probably wants to see another one of his own creations like The Lizard on the big screen instead of any of Spidey's newer villains, like Carnage, who is also being talked about for #4. For me, either villain or both is fine, just as long as Spidey doesn't team up with Venom to fight them. I actually stopped reading the comics following the Maximum Carnage storyline (though I did give the good-guy Venom series a fair shot), and I'd probably stop watching the movies at the same point. I know the end of Spider-Man 3 suggests this couldn't happen, but you never know -- either with comic books or the movies.

What they need to do is stop making it a mixed soup of villains. It weakens the overall story.
One villian, two TOPS, this whole mish mash of villians starts to get dangerously close to the Batman movies of old (toward the end, when they were playing musical Batmen) that is better left dead.

HOWEVER... Dr. Conners was left with a sample of the space alien at his lab for testing. Could this have survived to recreate a new Venom!?? Charles

Yeah that would be cool. I liked carnage in the comics for some reason so i think he'd be good too. Either way if there was a fourth one that would be awesome all together.
*Spoiler*
Yeah but didnt venom 'die' several times in the comic. Doesnt mean he cant come back or that the suit saved Eddie from being blow up or something. You never know.

Great Minds think alike. If I had a literary agent I would submit my idea which involves the Lizard and also I have the best parallel for Spidey and his struggle. I would use the sample from the symbote but not to create a new venom or carnage.
Now I consider the movie stories a parallel world, Earth-c(inema) since it takes a very different path from the comics. (yes I am an uber geek to sit and think about this) so Gwen being the one he ends up with is interesting.
PS I gave up around Max Carnage also, tried to get back into it but when they brought Norman Osborn back that was it. It violated a solid event and I consider it as bad as when they tried first started the Ben Reilley story.
They still haven't recovered, as eveidenced by the Gwen's children story which needs retconed out.
At least Spidey's story along side of the civil war was good. Now if they can keep on track I might begin buying again.

I doubt Gwen would give Peter the time of day after that wonderful bizarro scene in the Jazz Bar where he humiliated her for kicks.
Carnage being a serial killer would mean an R rating, or would be so toned down you wouldn't recognize him. The target for these has been children and will probably remain so. They already ruined Venom why yearn for Carnage?

they actually left two diffrent ways for venom to make a come back first in the comic book version eddic brock was eddie brock no jr added to the name at least that i ever saw and he was a body builder on the side besides being a photographer so the movie people might bring in a musclebond eddie brock sr. now my two ways for the symbiote first dr conners still has a sample of the suit i dident see any thing sugesting he destroyed it and in the comic books it had excesive regenerative abilitys now my other theory plays heavily on its regenerative abilitys during the end fight the green goblin cut a chunk off him with his pumpkin blades and my theory is that the bit of the symbiote that got cut off absorbs the blood and flesh from the wound then grows eddie and its self back and if it does turn out that he is gone for good then its possable that carnage was ejected from venom before the last fight but the red symbiote just hadent found a host yet

Yeah they dont mention or talk about the peice of Symbiote that Dr.Conners had in #3 so that you could forget about it and they surprise you in #4.That peice of Symbiote is either gonna become Venom or Carnage.I saw Spider-Man 3 two times in the theatre and i dont know if it was my imagination or not but i coulda sworn i saw the Symbiote at the end slip through the cracks in the floor.

enough of venom and carnage - maybe at a later date (and I'm assuming they will keep this franchise going for many more films - at least i would hope so since they have thus far been the best of the genre), I would like to see Ben Kingsley as The Vulture, yes to the Lizard, Kingpin, and while we're at it - why not do a Sinister Six kind of thing - a gang of villains, and get as many in as they can. I wanna see The Rhino, Hammerhead, Mysterio, The Chameleon, The Scorpion and...well, geez there are so many! They can't make these films fast enough for my liking.
I'd like to see Spidey meet some other heroes too - do a team up movie! That'd be cool.
These films have been great - though as a purist I would have liked them to stick a bit more to the original stories (i.e. Gwen Stacy should have been Parker's first girlfriend - they could have done that wonderful story in the first film since they had the Green Goblin there already, and developed the character of Mary Jane). The Green Goblin would have been better too if they had utilized Defoe's face as opposed to hiding it behind that stupid helmet.
Anyway, 'nuff said.

I no for 1 thing that i want to see Carnage,Myserio,Lizard and Kingpin. Carnage is going to pop out because Dr. Conners has some symbiote left in the third movie and the symbiote some how gets pregant like in the comics and some way gets to the guy in prison and carnage is born in prison goes crazy has a masscare in the facility where Kingpin was sent for his sentence and gets loose and creates a mob. And the creators or writers can put myserio in the movie somehow.Dr.c can create that reptilian dna for his arm and turn into the lizard. And also put some allys into the movie either Black Cat or Daredevil or both.
PS That actor for kingpin in daredevil was good BUT kingpin is not BBLLAACCKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
