Sicko Posters: Exclusive First Look
Filed under: Documentary, Independent, Celebrities and Controversy, The Weinstein Co., Michael Moore, Hold the 'Fone, Images, Summer Movies
Last week, we debuted the key art and a few photos from Michael Moore's upcoming health-care documentary Sicko, and today we have an exclusive first look at two new posters for the film. (Click on the art below for larger versions.)
Whether you love or hate big Mike, you have to admit that both posters are pretty humorous. I mean, what isn't funny about Moore rubber-gloving up to give the U.S. health care system a metaphorical colonic? And the combo of the skeletons in the doctor's office waiting room and the 'What seems to be the problem?" tagline is definitely worth a chuckle -- especially since they're sitting next to the very non-skeletal Moore.

Health Care is definitely an issue worth addressing but after seeing how intentionally deceptive he was in Farenheit 9-11 there's no reason to think he'd be upfront with us now.
I can't justify supporting someone who has tainted art with his own political agenda. As an artist, I'm really disappointed in him for ruining one of the last mediums we have left to make a difference.

Please cite a single instance of intentional deception in Farenheit 9/11. I am quite aware that Mr. Moore has been *accused* of such, but that there is not a single verifiable instance of it in that movie. Bush supporters accuse him of it because they desperately need to discredit the damaging truths laid out in the film. And because they simply despise and will vigorously attack anyone who dares to disagree with them. I'd very much like to see such an accusation *backed up* by verifiable facts instead of unsupported, deliberate, hate-mongering smear tactics. (I'm not accusing you of being a Bush supporter, but you may have been duped by them. Do you know of any documented, deliberate falsehoods in Farenheit 9/11?)

i totally agree. michael moore has an agenda, but it is on his sleeve. there is no deception. people that support bush and i'm amazed there are still any. they are good with name calling. never any real arguement. they have these words that they use to demonize people. yet another HUGE problem in this country, the idiots still have a voice and have been in power too long. they don't really care about this country, they care about the bottom line. they are the ones we all need to watch out for.

Love the man and his mind. He appears to have the balls to confront issues and a humourous way.
I couldn't care less about those who poke (fun at) him and his size. (I guess that is all they are capable of comprehending)

I am a registered nurse and have seen the effects first hand of people having no health insurance. We should not have people going without health care in a country a wealthy as ours. I hope this film helps people to realize that a national health care plan is despreatly needed.

I saw the film Saturday night. I hope it inspires the revolt that we need in this country. Our election system forces members of Congress to rely on the financial backing of private interest groups whose main interest is money, not lives. We need to cry out that we value human lives and force a change in our method of electing our representatives. For now, throw the bums out!!!!!

This was Michael Moore's best. Extremely thought provoking. We really have to consider this problem as individuals and everyone contact their local senators and congressmen to start taking a strong stand at the grassroots level on this issue. It's a shame that the most powerful country on earth cannot take care of it's own.

i agree SICKO is Moore's best yet! the reality is that western countries like England, France, and Cuba can't fathom the thought of their citizenry paying a single penny for health care. Yet this country puts more value on the multi-billion dollar pharmaceutical and insurance industries' bottom line than on the well being of its people. That's a helluva lopsided value system. Health care (and education) are entitlements, not privileges. Shame, shame, shame on us.
