Paris Hilton's Acting Agency Drops Her
One of the best cases of cutting through the Hollywood BS in recent years was when Paris Hilton got shipped back to prison. Four days after going behind bars, the suspended-license, DUI driver was stricken with a serious medical problem that just could not be helped at the jail, or in a hospital, but at her posh home. Confinement in some wet, cold basement apartment somewhere I could see still being a punishment for her, but c'mon! It would be paradise to a large percentage of the world. Miraculously, she wasn't allowed to get away with it and was thrown right back in jail whilst screaming and sobbing. Moral of this story: don't think your money, prestige and attitude will let you get away with everything because if you ever get caught, many-a-people will be amused to see the tears as you go down. If you want a run-down of things, go here. Now, to add insult to injury as she learns her hard lesson behind bars, her agency, Endeavor, has said hasta la bye-bye. Variety reports that the agency, which signed her in 2005, axed her the same day she was ordered back to jail, and they won't say why. Perhaps they felt short-changed when they saw her police car waterworks, thinking that she's been holding back all this time? I imagine it won't be too hard for her to find other representation, but maybe this experience were spur her onto causes more noble than sex tapes, barely-there outfits, DUIs and crappy entertainment. Or maybe not.

Oh please, (with sugar on top) this whole thing has been a sham since day one. My friend's neighbor is a police officer. He has a PBA card that gets him out of 90% of ALL violations. He never pays parking tickets, speeding tickets, etc. He is neither rich nor powerful. If you think for one second that Paris Hilton (or more specifically her parents) do not have the resources to get Paris out of a DUI charge then you are a bigger idiot then she is. Anyone else notice those Simple Life commercials they've been playing all effin' day non stop? Do you honestly believe it is a coincidence that this whole prison drama BS just happens to coincide with the premiere of her new show? Accept it people, the rich and powerful are above the law. Thats how its been since ancient times and thats how it will always be. Unless she loses her many fortunes, Paris Hilton will NEVER see the inside of an actual prison. They will just make it look like she's in a real prison to keep the ignorant public happy.
Oh and about the acting agency... well let's see, since her acting career is NOT based on her acting talent, but on the fact that she is a media spectacle, I don't think she'll have trouble getting roles in the caliber of movie (i.e. SAW) that she has been doing.

Paris may be a spoiled rich girl but this whole circus is bogus crap. This is about the local judges and cops trying to get some media exposure by putting a rich white girl in prison. Do you even know what her original DUI charge was for? SHe got pulled over and her level was 0.01, that's like a ONE beer or accidentally swallowing some strong mouthwash. You wanna throw someone in jail? How about JR Smith of the Denver Nuggets? This guy had his license suspended 5 times in the span of a YEAR. He still drove his SUV around a vehicle, through a stop sign, hitting a Jaguar, the SUV flipped, him and his dumbass friend both not wearing seatbelts were thrown from the vehicle and now his friend is dead. Smith should be doing time for manslaughter and we think Paris in jail actually resembles anything CLOSE to a famous person getting their comeuppance? give me a freaking break.
and don't play the "tried to buy her way out" card. every person on the PLANET would do it if they had the money so don't get mad just cuz she CAN.

Don't know where you got the number of .01 which states can't even prosecute for, unless you're buying the "one margarita" defense, but the reports I saw pretty much read like this -
LAPD officers noticed Paris driving her Mercedes McLaren SLR erratically at 12:31 AM and stopped her. They believed she exhibited signs of intoxication. We're told they administered a field sobriety test, and Paris blew a .08. In California, driving with a .08 blood alcohol level is the minimum level for DUI.
All of them mention the .08 which is the legal limit in most states.
As for athletes getting a break...yeah, I agree that happens way too often. Still, I don't feel for her getting dragged off because the prosecutor wanted to make a point about preferential treatment. That said, it is interesting to note that she will be separated from the general populace...not exactly helping in regards to changing perceptions.

She's being separated from the general populace because you don't throw a rich celebrity girl in on a DUI into jail with chicks in for murder, assault, etc. Paris would be shanked, raped, and beaten in a matter of days. Explain to me how THAT would somehow equate to "justice". If you want justice, you punish someone who DESERVES it. you also make the punishment fit the crime. but whatever. Paris is in jail and even thought it has no bearing on 99.999999% of our lives, we're all supposed to feel a little better because somehow prosecutors abusing their power is ok as long as it's rich white girls going to jail.

I agree with majorjimmy. This has all been about the judges and the sheriff who have had more media coverage that Brangelina. There are many cases where people with similar convictions escaped a jail term and only did community service. Hell, Russell Crowe and Naomi Campbell actuallyu assaulted another person and still no time in jail. Paris Hilton is a victim of her own celebrity and the sheriff likes to get her scalp to tell the grandkids when he retires.
Also, the absolute vitriolic hatred for Paris Hilton made by some bloggers is akin to the Salem witch hunts. The mysogynistic mob lynching she has received, no woman should have to endure no matter how wealthy she may be. Then western society has the temerity to criticise Islamic nations for stoning women to death for adultery or threatening to behead women who read the daily news on TV. As shown by the media circus, we are no better in the west.
In the end, Paris Hilton will have the last laugh and those who made derogatory and hate-filled comments will have eggs on their faces as their comments will be shown for what they are: a reflection of their own life's inadequacies rather than anything they had to say about Paris Hilton.

People do some research here. Shes not in jail for a DUI, shes in jail for violating her probation. She had a suspended license, and was pulled over once for it. That time the police made her SIGN a written statement recognizing that she was not allowed to drive under any circumstances whatsoever. A month later she was pulled over again. Thats two violations of her probations in about 5 weeks. I don't know what planet you all come from, but in the America that I live in I have no problem with someone going to prison for a month and a half when they so blatantly disregard the law. If she had just gotten a DUI then no she would not deserve to be in prison. But a DUI, and not one but two violations is certianly cause to make someone sit in prison and think about their life. plus, how terrible a driver does someone have to be to get pulled over this many times on a suspended license? Give me a break fellas...she deserves her punishment.
