Feldman and Haim Are Returning for 'Lost Boys 2,' Source Says

Last time we told you about Lost Boys 2, Corey Haim was bent over, arms wrapped around Corey Feldman, crying like a guy who just realized his various drug addictions had caused his career to go into the toilet. The scene was part of the new "reality" show The Two Coreys, and it began when Feldman told Haim they were making a direct-to-DVD Lost Boys sequel without, well, the two Coreys. Feldman insisted that he had been asked to make a cameo, but wasn't going to if Haim wasn't invited to join in on the fun too. Now, however, it appears a lot has changed. ShockTillYouDrop is reporting (via an anonymous source) that not only are Feldman and Haim returning for the sequel, but fellow Frog brother Jamison Newlander (who also appeared on the "reality" show in the same episode) will join them.
And just when you thought things couldn't get any stranger, the horror site also claims Keifer Sutherland's half-brother, Angus Sutherland, has been cast as the film's vampire villain. (For those not familiar with the original, Kiefer himself played villain.) His half-brother. Angus. I love it! Tad Hilgenbrink and Autumn Reeser have been cast in the lead roles, while P.J. Pesce (From Dusk Till Dawn 3) will direct. Production is set to begin a week from tomorrow. Now I'm not one to anticipate direct-to-DVD sequels, but this one has the potential of being so damn bad, I'm almost dying to see it. If anything, it should be fascinating to watch Feldman, Haim and Newlander together again, on the small screen, for the first time in 20 years. Hopefully some movie theater out there will host a screening of the sequel, because for my money, I want to witness this atrocity on the big screen first.

Just rewatched Lost Boys. What a cool 80's movie, fun and wry. I'm sure, mostly sure that there is no way for them - whoever 'them' is - to catch that magic again. I have a dim view of remakes, sequels and reimagined movies based on previous movies. With any luck at all, whoever is doing this straight to dvd version will put a bit of effort into it and make it worth a peek. I doubt it but who knows, stranger things have happened.

If John Travolta can make a comeback then why in the hell can't the two Corey's. They are still young and they are still talented. Sure they have had their individual problems in the past, but who cares and who hasn't? I for one would like to see them back and bigger then ever. I grew up with these guys! They are greater than any bad press can make them!
Love to both the Coreys!

Been waitin for some unoriginal idiots to add on to the masterpiece that is "Lost Boys". Can we get Jaimie Gerts to come back, as well? Maybe for a nude cameo or sumthin? Since it is prolly going to fall into the "B" (low budget flop) category, anyway, could only better the movie. Even after 20 years, "Star" is still hott! What about the ever lovable protector/guard dog, "Nnook"? He comin back, too? And since Hollywood is completely out of fresh ideas and consistently feels the need to re-make, and worsen stories that were better off left alone; why not bring back Mark Hamill and Rick Moranis for a "Spaceballs" remake?

You know...there are worse things than a Lost Boys Sequel. I love the idea. Been a big fan of The Lost Boys and both Corey's for a long time and would love to see what they can do together after all this time. Maybe what I want to know is why they waited so long to make a sequel for in the first place. They could have been the ultimate vampire fighting duo (trio...sorry Jamison) and comic book heros of all time. Don't knock it unless you've tried it...And pray you never need to call 'em!!!
Go Corey's...you've got my vote!
