All I know , is that Halloween scared the ba-geezus out of me, and then in the second one, I was getting used to Micheal Meyers and they had to go and show that child with the razor blade sticking out of his mouth and THAT DID IT, it was time to slide down in the seat and look over the one in front of me, AGAIN!!!

I agree "Halloween" was the best horror film ever. It's a waste of time to try and remake a new one...it'll never compare to the original!!

I first saw this movie as a newlywed. We lived in the French Quarter in New Orleans & many nights I was the only person in the building. I stayed out until my husband came home from work. Movie scared me for years. Years later we moved to Illinois & I remembered the movie took place there. The only thing that kind of took the scare away was finding out the mask was William Shatner. Classic flick.

Ok this was the most scariest movie i have ever saw. I clearly remember how afraid I was as we walked home from the theatre. I could not sleep with the light off for crap! I was sweating and the whole nine!! Michael was really the freakin boogeyman. He still is. Just looking at the pictures scared da crap out of me again..and im 36, lmao!!

.......I WAS ABOUT 10 YEARS OLD WHEN I FIRST SAW HALLOWEEN IN THE MOVIES. UP TO THEN I HEARD OF THE BOOGEY MAN, BUT THOUGHT HE WOULD BE MADE OF MUCUS...I KNOW RIGHT....LOL. When I first saw Halloween, I didn't realize that John Carpenter had lived in my college town of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and all of the street names and locations were base on the town like Cemetery Road, the Riverside Drive-In, and the street that Michael's house was on Chestnut Street (my Frat house was located on that street). It also was ironic that the mask was William Shatner/Captain Kirk. Halloween has been a cult favorite of our family and Michael is our favorite Boogy Man. Can't wait to see the new movie.

I'm torn here...my love of the original movie cannot be measured by existing technology! It was brilliant in every way...right down to its low budget and subtle faults. I absolutely despise it when "Hollywood" remakes classics (I'm still pissed they remade Psycho, and can you imagine the travesty of trying to remake JAWS?). Perfect films should be left alone!!! Having said that, Rob Zombie remaking this ultimate piece of film noir intrigues me. I think he is talented and has the ability to remake this classic film in the right way. I hate to say that, and I hope I don't regret it or end up disappointed by his film, but I am intigued and am hoping for the best. Hope you didn't let me down, Rob.

YOU SEE, I TOO AM A HUGE HALLOWEEN FAN AND WAS SCARED WHEN I FIRST HERD ABOUT THIS. YET, AFTER SEEING ALL THE PROMO'S, I KNOW IT HAS BEEN DONE JUSTICE. ALSO, IN PRE SCREENING FOR ORIGIONAL HALLOWEEN FANS, ALL SAID THEY LOVED IT. IT IS SAID TO BE THE SECOND BEST, ONLY BEHIND THE ORIGIONAL. I SAY, WE NEEDED A NEW LOOK AT THIS LEGEND THAT WE LOVE. THE SERIES WAS GOING TO THE CRAPPER FAST. MR. ZOMBIE MAY HAVE RESURECTED OUR FAVORIT SERIAL KILLER.

REMAKES,SHMEEMAKES! I, truly haven't seen a remake or a sequel that did any justice to the original. Not just in horror, everywhere! Just to kinda make my point, first, in comedy, "Smokey and the Bandit", the original, with its dialogue and storyline were classic. Second, in sports, the remake of "The Longest Yard", and,no, I am not a Burt Reynolds fan, third, for the ladies, in Romance, the so-called "remake" of "Gone with the Wind", the list and categories could go on forever. One question, if the original movie with all that it brought to the screen in its original format wasn't a fan favorite, WHY REMAKE IT?? Oh,that's right, for the moolah!!!

Zippy may have something there, personally I was very disappointed in the remakes of both "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre" and "Night of the Living Dead". Both films are classic originals but the remakes left a lot to be desired. John Carpenters remake of "The Thing" may be the exception to the rule because that one, I feel, falls into the "classic"department.

I love Halloween as long as can remember!!! I am so excited that a new one is coming out that is not a remake. You could NEVER remake Halloween. I always wanted to know what happened in the ery beginning before that one fatful Halloween noght. What made him tick....why was he the way he was? I want to in is head.....( I know sounds so wierd huh?)

Halloween is without a doubt one of the greatest horror movies ever made. And why? Because John Carpenter is a genious with the camera. You see glimpses of Micheal Myers. The violence isn't overdone. He lets the viewer use their imagination a little. I like Rob Zombie but you know after Devil's Rejects it's going to be a blood fest.

That's what makes it a true horror flick because we all have our own psycological demons to deal with and John Carpenter has the expertise to just "tweek" our psycosis a little bit to remind us that the "boogeyman" does exist and he's just waiting for a chance to sneak up and say, "BOO!"

For those of you that haven't already seen the new remake, avoid it. It's really bad. Almost as bad as the last one Halloween: Ressurection. This one you're better off just waiting for the dvd.

just saw a preview of the new halloween. it is freaking awesome. rob zombie did a great job on the remake. really a great movie. you need to see this. it tells the story of how young micheal is to become the maniac killer he is. took a little long to get going, but the outcome is fantastic. good job rob

I LOVED THE ORIGINAL AND HAVE JUST SEEN THE ROB ZOMBIE VERSION WHICH WAS ALSO AWESOME. LAST YEAR A THEATRE SHOWED THE ORIGINAL ON HALLOWEEN. WE WENT AND IT WAS SO FUN, I AM HOPING THAT THIS YEAR THEY WILL SHOW BOTH THE ORIGINAL AND THE NEW HALLOWEEN TOGETHER. THAT WOULD ROCK!!!!

MY TEENAGE DAUGHTERS CANT QUITE UNDERSTAND WHY I WOULD BE SO SCARED OF A GUY IN A HALLOWEEN MASK.
I TOLD THEM IT WAS 1978 AND I WAS THEN A TEENAGER AND THERE WERE NO MOVIES LIKE IT AT THE TIME. THIS LITTLE BOY STABBING HIS SISTER TO DEATH WITH A GIANT BUTCHER KNIFE. I NEVER TRUSTED MY LITTLE BROTHER QUITE THE SAME. THE ELEMENT OF SURPRISE WINS EVERYTIME.

LIKE ALL HALLOWEEN FANS, THERE IS NOTHING LIKE THE THE REAL THING. BUT I AM WILLING TO GIVE THE NEW VERSION A CHANCE. WILL GET BACK TO YOU.
