Anna Faris Does Porn ... For Real This Time
Back in June, while talking about Anna Faris' new Playboy film, our Erik Davis said: "Calm down there guys, her career hasn't tanked enough for Anna Faris to begin entertaining the same ideas you were entertaining after reading the title of this post." Well, now she is -- kind of. MTV has reported that the actress is in a rush to get a feature on Linda Lovelace in production, before the looming strike. For the handful of you that don't know -- Lovelace is the gal behind the epic porn film Deep Throat.As if Faris playing a porn star, an uber famous one at that, wasn't enough -- she says: "It's a really deep, dark drama -- and it would be cool for me to do." The film is called Inferno, she's putting it together "alongside a first-time filmmaker," and she says that Matthew Wilder will direct it. No other big names have been added to the cast, but Faris says that they are currently struggling to cast the role of Lovelace's manager and husband, Chuck Traynor.
After playing a woman whose clitoris is in her throat, and becoming world-famous, Lovelace became an anti-porn activist. But her life was a heck of a lot more than that role. In the biz, she was involved in bestiality and pretty hardcore sex, and she claimed that her first husband, Traynor, forced her into porn at gunpoint (similar to how he acted with second wife, porn star Marilyn Chambers)*. With all this in mind, who would have ever guessed that Anna Faris would be the actress to take it on? Can you see her in the role?

I love Anna Faris. She's saved more bad movies than the popcorn, but this just sounds horribly depressing. I guess, like every other comedienne, she's going to show us how dire she can get. The director's last movie sounds like some weird pastiche of Philip K. Dick's life.

Actually, she was anti-porn for a time and THEN went back to the business. HBO is currently running the documentary "Inside Deep Throat" and it goes over all this. Lovelace returned to porn and was doing pictorials and such until she died in a car accident.

Well this certainly gets her out of that teenage ditzy airhead she's been typecast into.
I want to say Bravo, but depending on how the film goes and shows, she will alwys be known as the actress who played Lovelace. I can hear the double entendres now.
She's a pretty woman and a professional actress. Sinatra played a heroin addict musician in Man with the Golden Arm.

Why do most actresses gravitate to this type of shit eventually. Female actresses want the same respect as men, with the same sophisticatd role opportunities. But somehow it ALWAYS reverts back to whether or not they will look good with their shirt off. Explain it away under any guise you wish, it boils down to the same thing: Woman will generally do whatever men want them to do, especially when money is involved. And that may never change.

Im not sure this is right because I was too young at the time to watch her movies but wasnt Linda Lovelace a tranny ? Im pretty sure she was. I have seen pictures of her and she does in fact look like a tranny. I know at one time she was also very popular in the business but Im sorry he/she was not real easy on the eyes.

sure are a lot of people out there who's live have done something for this world instead of tear it down like the whores of porn. Unbelievable at the people this world idolizes and puts on a pedestal. Watching portions of the Elvis show the other night I wondered just how many women, and men too, would knock Jesus down and run over him to get to Elvis if he were still alive? A known adulterer, died of drugs, like so many in this world and especially in show business they just love to get up there when they win a nomination or award and give credit to God and throw Jesus in here and there but the deceived fools just don't realize that God hates their business and the people they have caused to look at them instead of His Son. BUT, they'll sure be reminded when they stand before Him.
