Just when you thought we were done giving away tickets today, we've only just begun! Cinematical is happy to announce that we have a whopping 15 pairs of tickets to give away for next Wednesday's (12/19) New York premiere of The Great Debaters! And in case you weren't following the news, The Great Debaters was just nominated for a Golden Globe in the Best Motion Picture (Drama) category -- the most prestigious of them all -- and now you have a chance to see it, before anyone else does, at New York's historic Ziegfeld Theater. Oh, but that's not all: Your ticket also allows you to attend a private pre-show reception, with folks like Denzel Washington and other high-profile celebs in attendance. Yup, you've read all about those swanky New York movie premieres in the papers -- well now YOU get to go to one! And chill ... with Denzel!
Here's what you need to know: We'll be picking 15 random commenters to attend The Great Debaters star-studded New York premiere starting ... now. The private reception will be held prior to the screening in The Ziegfeld Theater Lobby beginning at 6:30pm on Wednesday, December 19th, with the screening to follow. (And on a personal note, if you've never been to a screening at the Ziegfeld -- then, seriously, you have no idea what you're missing.) Since cocktails will be served, you must be 21 or over in order to attend, and you must be in or around the New York City area on that day. Additionally, you'll need to travel to and from the theater on your own dime. Worth it to watch The Great Debaters with Denzel at The Ziegfeld? Um, yeah. You'll want to be there for this. Directed by Denzel Washington, and starring Washington, Forest Whitaker, Nate Parker and Denzel Whitaker, The Great Debaters arrives in theaters on Christmas Day.

Why I and a friend would like to attend the premiere :
1. Pretty sure a NYC movie premiere and dinner @ Angelo and Maxies gets me some.
2. So I can do research for my upcoming porno production, The Great Masterb... okay, forget that one.
3. It will fulfill my lifelong ambitition of being externally validated by being randomly selected for something.
4. It would finally give me a chance to wear my "I'm with Denzel" t-shirt.
5. To take lots of great pics, which I'd completely share.

I would like to attend the premiere because I am a huge fan of the movies, and Denzel (thought he was great in American Gangster). Also being at the premiere allows me that small moment of seeing the actual stars that are in the film, and I love going to big opening nights, plus the Zigfeld is such a great place to see a film. It would be a great night out in NYC. On a side note - because I rarely win these type of things.

Would love to see how well Denzel direct this film. Ziegfeld is the best theatre for any movie premieres. It's very close to my office and I pass by and wished to be on the red carpet all the time. I hope to make it on the other side of the fence and make the bystanders Jealous for once.

Hell, I'm straight, and I think Denzel is one handsome man, and I can make everyone in my office jealous just by being in the same room as him.

From watching the trailer, this looks like it could be one amazing film. Besides, it's hard to find fault with Denzel Washington and Forest Whitaker looks like he has a fun part.

Recently, I saw Oprah Winfrey's show promoting the upcoming film 'The Great Debaters'. What an excellent assemble of actors and an actress. Discussing the controversial debate coach Melvin B. Tolson and the students who beat the odds.
I would like the opportunity to see a factual work that provides a lesson to a person like myself who is trying to succeed at all cost.
