Reese Witherspoon Refuses Sex with Vince Vaughn

It would appear that tensions on the set of Four Christmases are at an all time high, as the off-screen feud between stars Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon continues to heat up. Last month we told you how both actors were a bit peeved over the other's work ethic. Witherspoon didn't like the fact that Vaughn would show up to the set unprepared, laid-back and ready to improv (after a long night at the bar), while Vaughn seemed pissed that Witherspoon refuses to lighten up and go with the flow. Perhaps that's why pal Jon Favreau was brought in for a late inning role, so that he could keep Vaughn in check and not let the guy ruin the entire flick?
Now, Digital Spy tells us that things on set aren't getting any better. Witherspoon apparently has a problem with one of the scripted love scenes between her and Vaughn, and doesn't want to go through with it. Says a spy: "Reese has an issue with the scripted love scene. It is meant to be a funny, American Pie-style romp, full of bumps and laughs, but Reese is of such a prude, she thinks it's just too much." And this is the girl who was just named the most-liked celeb in 2007? Granted, I wouldn't blame Witherspoon for not wanting to get dirty between the sheets if her partner reeks of alcohol and refuses to go strictly by the script. Who knows what he would do once they were in bed together; for all we know, he could go crazy with the improv, whip out his Johnson and start wagging it around. Sheesh, no Oscar winner deserves that sort of disrespect.
Then again, a scene like that would probably go down as one of the funniest of the year. Poor Reese. If you slack off on set, you get reamed, and if you show up every day on time, with your ultra-professional cap on, you still get reamed. I guess you're damned if you do, and you're damned if you don't. Hopefully the film won't suffer because of this feud (though the press junkets should be very interesting).

The only thing I would question is that it doesn't say that the scene was added on-set or after Reese signed on the dotted line. How is it ultra-professional to sign on to do a film, start filming, THEN decide that a scene (as, presumably, it's always been scripted) is unacceptable?
That said, I wouldn't wish Vince Vaughn on anyone.

I have read that Reese if very hard to work with! Reese needs to lighten up, & try improve, mabey it will improve her acting style! Some people work better when they shoot from the hip!
I think what needs to happen is that the director needs to add Abbie Cornish to the cast just piss of Reese!

If Vince Vaughn comes in drunk and unprepared every day, how is that less worse than her refusing to do a sex-scene? I say its not.

Actually, what I'm really thinking is that all of us have to work with an asshole or two every day. For the right amount of money, I'd do a sex scene with any of those jerks.

I have never liked Reese Witherspoon because she seems so "stuck-up" and extremely uptight.I don't understand why she was cast in this anyway--yeah Vince Vaughn is a slob--but he is liked by many actors.She needs to get off her high horse--Walk the Line was a once in a lifetime gig for her--she will probably never get another Oscar worthy performance like that again.

I applaud Reese for her work ethics and professionalism. Vince is used to being the big, teddy bear ,party guy which in some scenerios is okay but apparently not with Reese. Maybe he should straighten up and go with the flow.

I agree with MooMoo. There should be more celebrities like Reese. Nobody takes pride anymore or even has morals. That definitely goes for celebs. Who are our kids going to look up to? Keep doing what your doing Reese. Be proud to have a backbone & stick up for what you think is right.

It isn't Reese that needs to lighten up, its the retard needs to start being more professional. Her personality was probably a big reason she was hired in the first place.
