Tuesday Morning Poll: No Love for 'The Incredible Hulk?'

I'm still amazed that we've only seen two images from this summer's The Incredible Hulk so far (not counting toys), considering the other big summer blockbuster flicks have already shelled out loads of images, trailers, behind-the-scenes featurettes -- what have you? At this point, we've seen more from the new Star Trek film (which bows in May, 2009) than we have The Incredible Hulk (which comes out on June 13). And at the beginning of each week, I usually predict the Hulk trailer is only two or three days away -- but alas, it never comes. Could this be why fans are so hesitant to put Hulk on their must-watch list this summer?
We recently asked you which films you were most anticipating in 2008, and only a very small amount put The Incredible Hulk on their list. Furthermore, Moviehole cites a recent Blockbuster poll (asking readers which summer film they were anticipating the most) which found the flick coming in dead last with 1% of the vote, behind Speed Racer. Yet, it's hard to imagine why folks would be so iffy on this new version of the Hulk when the cast absolutely rocks (c'mon -- Tim Roth is your friggin' villain!). So why isn't there more love? Is it because the Ang Lee version left a sour taste? Is it because the studio refuses to promote the film? Is it because there are that many better looking films to choose from? Let's try to figure this one out in the poll below -- and please answer honestly.

I can't wait to see this film. But there has been no marketing for this at all. Not going to build up much interest in a summer blockbuster-type film that way. If they didn't have a finished Hulk to throw out there to satifsfy the fanboys, they could have at least used some Cloverfield-style ads to plant a few seeds of anticipation.

You forgot to consider the possibility that a lot of people have discovered that they really like the Ang Lee "Hulk" and think a do-over is pointless.

I enjoyed ang lee's Hulk, sure it felt long in places but it deffinatly doesn't deserve the hate that it has gotten, it was a solid orgin flick, cinematogrophy was great, direction was great but the story lacked explosive-ness someone should ask micheal bay to rewrite it...... j/k.... but seriously the movie grows on you it just should have been about a half hour shorter.

Ang Lee's had a hulk French Poodle, think again...Hulk French Poodle!!...I can also mention that the Hulk looked like a steroid packed jock from a frat house, not the hulk published for this new version, which finally looks like an angry man. I hope they do something soon, it would be sad to see a Hulk film trashed by Batman, which will happen anyway.

Mr R: This hulk looks like a California governor on hyper steroids - not a pretty image. Ang's film was not awesome, but it is still too soon for remake. While Edward is an excellent dramatic actor, it's difficult to conceive him as the Hulk. I'll wait for it on On-demand.

I would imagine that they're tryin' to lay low with this one seeing as how everyone hated Lee's version of the green goliath. I was one of the few who liked it. I just feel with Norton signing up and involved as a writer....it should be good. Right?

I'll see anything with Ed Norton and Tim Roth in it. I don't care about the marketing just tell me the release date and I'll be there.
