First Pic of Aaron Eckhart as Two Face!

Okay, so it's not exactly a photo of Aaron Eckhart from the actual movie, but it is a blurry photo (click on the image for a larger version) of the new Two Face action figure recently showcased at a restricted press event during the New York Toy Fair. Of course, throw up the word 'restricted' and there's bound to be at least one dude with a hidden camera phone. Dark Horizons nabbed the photos, which are indeed fuzzy, but enough to make out what the character will look like. This also means that, yes, Eckhart will most definitely make his transformation in The Dark Knight from Harvey Dent to the villainous Two Face. But when he does it, and for how long he's on screen, we do not know.
Some have suggested that Two Face will make an appearance at the very end of the film, for one or two scenes, as a teaser into the third installment. Seeing as it's been confirmed that Scarecrow (Cillian Murphy) and Joker (Heath Ledger) will both be included in the film, it's my hope that this is the way they go. Last thing we want is a rushed Two Face storyline; I'd rather more focus on the Joker and for Two Face to team up with another Gotham baddie in the third installment. What do you think?
The Dark Knight hits theaters on July 18.

There is rumor (as I'm sure you already know Erik) that the Joker makes an appearance in the third film as well. Make note that I said "rumor" this is not a spoiler. Although the rumor has some teeth.
And I hope Two-Face remains a mystery until the end of TDK.

We've known Two-Face to be in the film since Nolan showed footage at Wizard World Chicago last year, since at the end of the clip someone says "Mr. Dent, I thought you were dead?" and he replies, "Half," showing just a bit of scarring.
Here's how I hear it's working - the main plot of the film follows "The Long Halloween,"a major Two-Face story that spawned the "I believe in Harvey Dent" campaign, and the Joker pops up from time to time to f--- sh-- up. I think this is the way to go actually, though a full Joker movie would be wonderful, so long as he doesn't die at the end (unless it did so in an Alan Moore or Frank Miller type way).

I agree with that. However if they're doing things the way I think they are, this may turn out to be the most accurate Batman comic-to-film adaptation, as well as being one incredibly bad ass story.

I remember thinking those exact words in the context of spiderman 3 before it came out too...and x-men 3...and ghost rider...

The second Nic Cage's name was attached, I knew Ghost Rider was going to bomb. The recipe for disaster for Spider-man 3 was allowing Sam and Ivan Raimi to write the movie. X-3 died because the team that made the second one so awesome disintegrated and Brett Ratner was left in charge. However, I hold a lot of faith in Chris Nolan mainly because he's never disappointed me before. Except the Prestige a little bit, but that's because I like the Illusionist a lot more.

Really? I thought "the Illusionist" was far inferior to "the Prestige". Not only the acting, but the story, as well. It was too obvious.

I thought that "The Prestige" got to be too convoluted and confusing towards the end. I'll have to give them both another watch, since I'm just basing this off of my first theatrical experience with them both. I also wasn't expecting much from "the Illusionist" and expected a lot from "The Prestige," so that may be part of the problem.

I doubt that Scarecrow will have much more than a cameo in TDK. From what I've gathered about the story (i.e., this may be completely wrong), Joker's role is to unite Gotham's undesirables against Batman, which is where all these gang leaders they've talked about would fit in, including Scarecrow. All that, while Bruce is trying to deal with the Harvey/Two-Face transformation. Batman is best when he's up against impossible odds, so as long as they keep the focus on 2 or 3 main roles, I think they'll do just fine.

There's so much speculation as to when, or if, Two-Face will appear that I have decided to just wait & enjoy the movie.
