I shouldn't be surprised that X-Files fans are back to their old tricks again and scrutinizing every little detail they can get their hands on when it comes to the sequel. X-Files News is reporting that Mitch Pileggi, aka Walter Skinner, will be reviving his character for Untitled X Files Sequel. They really are going to have to come up with a title one of these days, by the way. According to the site, they are in possession of a schedule with Pileggi named in the worksheet for the day's shoot.Pileggi starred on the TV series as Assistant Director Skinner, a former Marine and Vietnam vet. Skinner was the direct supervisor of the paranormally inclined FBI Agents, Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) and Fox Mulder (David Duchovny). The character started off with ambiguous allegiances, but as the story wore on, Skinner clearly became one of the good guys.
When the news was finally confirmed that Duchovny and Anderson would be returning with creator Chris Carter for a stand alone flick, I was thrilled (Yes, I am that big of a dork). But, like a lot of fans, I was worried that maybe just too much time had passed and, really, were there still enough of us 'out there' (sorry I couldn't help myself). As it turns out, the answer is a big old yes. So far we've gotten a few spoilerish photos from the net and now this latest bit of casting. But believe me, it looks like fans are on high alert for any bit of news they can get. The Untitled X Files Sequel is scheduled for release on 25 July, 2008.

you really need to start getting interested in the PLETHORA of adult, intelligent movie projects that are in the offing.
you have an obsession with geeky, sci-fi teen crap that might be fun occassionally but apparently represents the sum total of your interests.

Think the guy above should actually watch The X-Files before writing that crap, The X Files was one of the most intelligent tv series/movie you could find.

news flash: the x-files movie will NEVER be considered an adult project. it is for cult admirers, most of whom are geeks.
did you see the movies and performances that won oscars last night? that's the stuff i'm talking about.
i have no objection to having fun at the cinema but there is a preoccupation on this web site with this sort of immature stuff. my fondest wish is for the site to grow up a bit.

Hey, im not saying The X Files was ever Oscar material, but to be considered adult entertainment doesnt mean you have to have a pointless statue in ur hands. the x files kick started a new television era of ADULT themed GOOD shows. I came across this site by accident and think its pretty good. If you want to be pretentious about your films, goto another site. Ps. im not trying to initiate an argument.
