He was the talk of the red carpet Sunday night after interrupting Ryan Seacrest's interview with Jennifer Garner, only to wrap Garner in a bear-hug and kiss her neck. I'd say the poor gal was a bit freaked out. And then there's Gary Busey's date in the background, trying to push her way in toward Seacrest, smiling like a moron in that ugly green dress. Anyway, Busey, as always, was a maniac. Now, check out what happened after the ceremony (I believe it's after), as an 11-year-old female reporter attempts to approach Busey for an interview.
She sounds like a cute girl, shooting these red carpet things for a website called StarzLife.com. I don't think she runs the website, but they most likely brought her in to do the reporting -- probably because it was the only way they could get a celeb to talk to them. So the girl tries to talk to Busey, and the guy just verbally abuses her. Not so much that he was making fun of her, but treating her like a complete moron -- raising his voice, asking her to repeat the question 30 times, then refusing to give the girl a shout out for the site. "I don't do shout outs," he, well, shouted.
But we'll give her a shout out. Go visit StarzLife.com. There ya go kid. Check out the video above.

Well, thanks Erik, for linking to Starzlife. Their front page right now has photos of David Spade picking his nose and Gabrielle Union getting pooped on by a seagull. Now that's hard hitting news! ;)

I love Gary, what can I say, an original guy in Hollywood. Even if he himself was constantly wasted, still love the man for being himself and licking Jennifer Garner, hahahaha.

Gary probably took offense at the phrasing of the question, given his past problems. That said, he comes off as somewhat off a prick. In the interest of reinventing himself, this would have been something he could have approached from a different angle.
And he's dead-on. Spears and Lohan aren't celebrities. Unless you count smoking crack and talking in mock British accidents as "talented".

I think it's safe to say, at this point, that Gary Busey is fucking insane.
Those guest spots on Entourage were pretty truthful, weren't they?

God I love Gary Busey!! At least he is only honest man in Hollywood that is willing to speak up & state the truth!! Gary is 100% dead-on, Spears and Lohan aren't celebrities, they use to be celebrities but now they act like no-talent ass clowns! As for Paris, she is a waste of space. I can't wait till say 5 Yrs down the road when all 3 are working at a truck stop as waitresses!
Also. I didn't see any abuse either...what abuse?

The reason why Gary acts like Gary is because of brain damage from his motorcycle accident years ago. He's not drunk, he's not crazy, it's what's going on in his head. It's a miracle he's living today. From what I recall, when he wrecked his motorcycle, Gary's helmet hit the curb at 60 mph totally destroying it. You can imagine what he looked like....good to see him back though.

Well, so this girl learned early in life what we all must learn at some point or another: Avoid direct communication with Gary Busey at all costs.
I remember my parents me telling me that, seemingly every night at the dinner table. "And remember, son, if you ever see Gary Busey coming down the street, just turn around and walk away. And for the love of God, don't make eye contact."
Boy, I wish I had listened to them. But some lessons you have to learn the hard way, I guess.

Hey Erik...i've been reading your reviews for quite some time now and i've finally had enough. where in hell do you see ABUSE coming from gary busey in that interview? That is way too strong a word to use in regards to the context of that interview. He's only stating his opinion, which right or wrong is just an opinion...period. Not ABUSE. Get it right. Tell the truth.

I think Erik is referring to the way Gary Busey is posturing after every statement he makes. It's obvious from the clip he can hear the child's question. What Gary is, is outraged that an 11 year old is asking a man with a history of drug abuse questions about other "celebrities" with the same issues. It's very clear what he's doing. "What? What the hell is this?" is his reaction to the question. He glances around the room to see who exactly he is being embarrassed in front of. His refusal to give a "shout out" probably is more about the street use of the word "shout out" than it is about doing a spot for the website. Either way, he's trying to show up an 11 year old child. If that's not an issue for you, then you may not have children. Abuse is maybe not the exact word I'd have used, but he definitely made an ass of himself. And not just in the interview, either. Licking Jennifer Garner's neck? He's lucky he didn't get his fucking nose broken. You walk up to my wife and pull that shit and we're gonna be sideways in about 5 seconds.

The issue isn't that he was saying negative things (aka "abuse") about Paris Hilton and the like minded morons girls out there. The issue is an eleven year old girl is trying to approach this man and do an interview. Which I'm sure she was very nervous about and probably trying to take very seriously. Instead of treating her gently and answering questions and going on his way, he grabs the camera when she asks him to do a shout out and says no he won't do that because it's "stupid thing to do" and when she tries to get him to at least do something he just plains acts like the crazy mean jerk he is and humiliates this little girl by being rude to her. This man talks about "children of god" and says he's a "born again" but he doesn't have the good manners and common decency to treat this child with respect?!?! I mean she's eleven cut her a break. So yeah in a sense he heaped abuse on her. To an eleven girl I'm sure it seemed very abusive since he went out of his way to treat her as though she was moron.

Erik,
The woman accompanying Gary Busey to the Oscars and introduced to Ryan Seacrest on the tape is Gary Busey's long time attorney, Vicki Roberts, who is very well known in the entertainment industry. Most of the press requesting interviews on the red carpet knew who she was (except apparently Ryan Seacrest). Her website is www.restmycase.com and she can be found on the imdb at www.imdb.com/name/nm2399449/ .
