Stillpalooza: Zack & Miri, Drillbit Taylor, and The Reader

It's been an eye-candy smorgasbord of images today, so check these out:

After set pics and Elizabeth Banks f**king Seth Rogen, we've finally got a real still from Zack & Miri Make a Porno, courtesy of USA Today. It's completely fitting for the comedy's theme, don't you think? I think it pretty much sets up the plot without showing fluffing, or any of the porn shenanigans that could potentially offend readers' eyes. We've got a stripper on-stage, although she's only shot below the knees, Rogen digging the scenery, and Banks looking serious, yet thoughtful. You can almost see the wheels turning.

The article goes on to wonder whether audiences can stomach the "racy" title. C'mon. Sure, there will be people out there who won't be interested based on the title. However, I don't think it's a stretch to assume that those same people would not be into it if they changed it to something else either. Kevin Smith fans will hit it in droves, as will Rogen fans, and anyone else who likes sex comedies.

Next, we've got the Owen Wilson comedy Drillbit Taylor, which comes out this month. (The trailer came out last summer, which you can check out here, as part of Matt Bradshaw's Trailer Park.) Wilson stars as an ex-bodyguard homeless man who gets hired by a bunch of kids to protect them from some jerky bullies. I agree with Matt that the tykes are lacking something, but I'm hoping that Seth Rogen's involvement as a screenwriter, and Wilson's main role, can make that all better. Along with the fighting moves above, the collection over at Cinema Blend features mellow shots, action shots, a little bit of romance, and more.

Lastly, here's a look Kate Winslet from The Reader, courtesy of Just Jared. This is the post-WWII war crimes trial flick that she was going to lead, then was replaced by Nicole Kidman, only to get the gig back later. Winslet plays Hanna Schmitz, a woman who falls for a much younger man, but then faces earlier secrets when she's tried as a Nazi war criminal.

Now, there's been some confusion over parts, since Ralph Fiennes is always listed as the co-star, and he's 45, to Winslet's 32. However -- over at IMDb, 18-year-old David Kross is said to have the role of "Michael," so unless there are two Michaels, he's the young kid that Kate gets to snuggle with.
