Two New 'Iron Man' Posters!
Filed under: Action, Fandom, Movie Marketing, Comic/Superhero/Geek, Posters

Two new (and final) Iron Man posters have been revealed, the first of which is an international poster (seen above) and then a domestic poster (seen after the jump). There's not much of a difference between the two, except the international features a full length Terrence Howard and Robert Downey Jr., with helicopters in the background instead of the jets pictured in the domestic version. I totally geeked out over the last trailer that was released, and Iron Man has now officially hit my "Holy crap am I anticipating this flick" meter - just after The Dark Knight and just in front of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Oh yes, I'm giving Favreau the benefit of the doubt and itching to see this one just a little bit more than I am Indy. How about you?
Iron Man hits theaters on May 2.

Iron Man is gonna rock! But it will come, and it will go. In other words, however good it'll be it will still just be another summer (superhero) action flick. Indy is timeless.

Wow, nice posters.
What's missing from the US version, though, is that city in the background with the explosion.
They need to stop equating all city explosions with 9/11...

I'm excited for the movie, but those posters are really meh. I mean overall they're just average, nothing really special going on. They need to play up the actual suit, not all boring people.

Iron Man FTW!
This is the superhero movie I'VE been waiting for. He's the most unique superhero in that he has no powers but is one of the most powerful heroes in the Marvel universe.
He can fight underwater, in space, he even faced down the Hulk before.
He is also the easiest since armor is great in CGI and green screen. This should get several sequels as he has worked with every super team. From the trailer, I'd say this is going to eat everything alive this summer, Indy included.
It's got one of the better character actors and Gwyneth Paltrow, not to mention Bridges and Howard. i would like to see some of his super enemies though like Mandarin or Ultron.

I like them both. The international one has a better layout, but I LOVE Jeff Bridges' look in the domestic poster.
In terms of anticipated summer releases, it's a close four-way split with Indy slightly ahead. Here's the % breakdown:
Indy: 26.5%
Dark Knight: 25.5%
Iron Man: 24.5%
WALL-E: 23.5%
