Ominous Loss in 'Sex and the City'?

If you are, in any way, wary of possible spoilers, even if they might be vague tidbits that just lead to speculation, stop reading now!On May 30, we're finally getting the big-screen version of Sex and the City. Over the last year, we've gotten all sorts of tidbits about the film. The main players are there, Carrie looks to be finally getting married to Big and gains an Oscar-winning assistant, Steve becomes a jerky cheater, Samantha's eye continues to roam, and Charlotte finally gets noticeably pregnant.
But there's more to it than that. In a discussion with MTV, Sarah Jessica Parker reveals that Carrie deals with a big "loss." They immediately muse about Samantha's cancer, Charlotte's miscarriage, and Big biting the dust. However, only one possibility fits what she says, and that's the last. It is something that affects Carrie, and her friends are an "enormous help."
Somehow I doubt that Carrie's friends would be focused on her if they were the ones struggling too, so that leaves Big. Granted, this could be another thing to throw us off the tracks, like the early pictures, or it could just be some sort of foot diagnosis that doesn't allow her to wear Manolos anymore. But Parker is really trying to be ominous, and says enough that I can't imagine what it could possibly be but Mr. Big's demise. The trailer insinuates that they break up, but it would also fit that Big has heart issue #2. This would also explain why Parker's lawyer advised her not to answer questions about her and Big.
I can't decide whether SJP is stupidly revealing a big plot point, or if they're just messing with our minds now. Thoughts?

The movie isnt about the plot its about the sponsorship, the product placement and the money!- Its basically two hours of them shopping, with not a bit of Fairtrade cotton in sight. Things are going well as they try on shoes and clothes and shoes and clothes and shoes oblivious to issues of world hunger, war, genocide, exploitation and human rights abuse when OMG!! all of a sudden one of them is so excited at getting the last Manola Blahnik puppy skin odour-eaters that she lets out a small walnut pooh!I cant wait!!

I loved watching Sex in the City! My problem is I'm tired of Carrie and Big doing the love dance, the break up dance, and then the rekindling of the love dance. It's too, cliche' and too, tired a plot.
Verses Big and Carrie breaking up... they'd be so much smarter to kill Big off. At least that would be a new twist to an old plot. Samath engrossed in her job and ignoring Steve.. so Steve is getting a little on the side? Sounds about right. Samatha out chaising tail coats... pathetic at her age but rings true... Charolette finally pregers? Good for her. This mommy wantabe needs a baby to complete her.
Carrie, the star of this dysfunctional lot, has major emotional issues, which is evident from her dating pattern. She likes life messy. Let's hope she gets a messy ending with Big biting the big one at the end. That would make Carrie happy and we want all our girls happy!

I think the loss they refer to will be a death, but I really don't think it will be Big. My money is on Stanford. He is important enough to cause distress, but not major enough to halt any story lines.
