Katie Holmes Heads to Broadway?
These days, the only thing keeping Katie Holmes in the spotlight is her marriage to Tom Cruise and vampy new look. It's a shame after the cool flicks that jump-started her career like The Ice Storm, Go, Wonder Boys, and The Gift. Nevertheless, she's become one of the queens of tabloid fodder, and turning down Dark Knight for that stinker known as Mad Money didn't help things at all. Could Broadway save her?The Daily Mail says that she's in final negotiations to make her Broadway debut in All My Sons, a post-WWII drama written by Arthur Miller (that also became a film in 1948). Should she sign on the dotted line (she's already committed to private workshops of the play), she'll join John Lithgow and Dianne Wiest in the production. Yes! At the very least, we've got a Footloose reunion to delight in.
Aside from the cast, this production should get a lot of buzz because it's the first major revival of Miller's work since his death a few years ago. Based on a true story, it follows a woman whose father sold faulty parts to the military during the war. It's no Mad Money, so this might just be Holmes' professional resurrection. Considering Cruise's waning roster lately, could she revive things and become the family bread winner?

Why read and believe tabloids when they are trash. Those that do really have no lives and have pathetic I.Q's.
CNN showcased her beautiful transformation and the segment emphasized her grace and class handling all this tabloid insanity. Letters of admiration on CNN and People magazine also poured in for Katie.
Mad Money is so Katie Holmes because its the kind of projects she's been taking on after her WB show. She works with brilliant directors and challenging herself. I can see her pursuing a comedy than play a superhero gf and damsel in distress. Superhero gfs are overall thankless roles but its the guys that shine.
I hope this happens because this is Katie's dream. She turned down Dawson's Creek to keep her promise on her high school musical at Notre Dame's Damn Yankees.
Its her dignity that made theWB network wait for her to be Joey Potter same dignity she chose to be a devoted mom and wife than work a lot these days.
I also think Batman will require a lot from her esp the promo blitz all over which Mad Money didnt do much except promote only domestically.

This article reminds me of the CNN segment on Katie. On youtube watch-type in "Katie Holmes Transformation".
Also watch-type in on www.youtube.com
"Katie Holmes at Joans" and "Cops going Mad over Katie Holmes" because its scary how the paparazzis stalk and swarm Katie.
Reporters and photographers comment that Katie is the kindest, classy and gracious actress they met unlike many cranky mean and arrogant actresses today.
A sample of the letters from People magazine:
I find your article on Katie Holmes very refreshing. Some people expect so much from her and the tabloids make up so much nonsense yet she handles everything with effortless grace while keeping the focus on the strength and values of her family, work and friendships--to that I say bravo. - Nancy Popey from Dallas,Texas
Its good that many are seeing this and I agree with the public about how graceful Katie is and so classy. Diane Keaton is right that many celebs cant handle the pressures in Hollywood and tabloids they fall apart but Katie is so calm amidst the storm, she's graceful and a pro.
I believe Katie will reign in Hollywood---just give her time.

Such coincidence that Katie and Kidman have some things in common such as romancing Batman onscreen,Tom Cruise in real life and now Broadway. I recall Kidman had that Blue Room role where she did nudity but I think Katie will keep her clothes on for this Arthur Miller play. Katie is someone to keep an eye on in Hollywood although I will miss her in The Dark Knight. With her more mature beautiful features now as Mrs.Cruise and Mommy to precious Suri she would heat it up with Christian Bale. Their scenes on Begins were little and the romance was undeveloped but the two generated sparks and sweetness. TDK is the 2008 biggest movie and with Katie in it would have brought more deeper attention and excitement but Im banking the media and tabloid will make sure to hurt Tom Cruise with their Holmes and Bale scandal.
