Next Spoof Flick to Attack 'Superbad'
Well, we knew it wouldn't be too long before writer/director's Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer tortured us with yet another one of their awful "spoof" movies. And I put the word 'spoof' in quotations because I don't believe they're making spoof films; they're making sh*tty films. It's a whole new genre. Moviehole tells us the two dudes behind such instant microwave classics as Meet the Spartans and Epic Movie will next give us Goodie Two Shoes. Apparently, the "film" will follow "a group of friends who go on a life-changing adventure." MH tells us the main movie being "spoofed" here is Superbad, which means the "group of friends" in the description will probably resemble Jonah Hill, McLovin,' etc ... I wouldn't even be surprised if they threw in a few cracks at some other Apatow films like Knocked Up and Forgetting Sarah Marshall. What was that? The latter film hasn't even come out yet? Oh, I know -- but that won't stop these boys from spoofing it. In fact, MH says they'll also be going after Will Smith's Hancock, Sex and the City and The Love Guru. WTF? So now we're writing jokes about films that haven't even hit theaters, and won't for a couple months? I can't. I won't. Where's the gun?
Apart from the films being spoofed, all the usual characters are being sought out. These include look-a-likes for Jessica Simpson, Justin Timberlake, Flava Flav (he'd probably do it himself), Angelina Jolie, Paris Hilton and Michael Jackson. (Am I the only one who's sick of the Michael Jackson jokes? Are we not passed him yet?) Assuming this isn't a post-April Fool's joke (God I hope so), Goodie Two Shoes will begin production in Louisiana at the end of the month.

This film is going to be even worse because majority of the films they are spoofing that are not released yet and haven't had a trailer or enough footage to make a decision about them.

Oh no. Not another "Not Another Teen Movie"!
Actually, NATM, wasn't half bad. It tended to spoof classic 80's teen movies rather than current pop culture phenomena, and that's why it worked.
It certainly wasn't anywhere near as bad as those aforementioned Freidberg/Setzer turds.

So, they're parodizing a comedy? How does that even make sense? I'm a student of a former Zucker/Abrams colleague, and this is the kind of thing that makes me believe, even if I'm a talentless hack for the rest of my life, I'm going to make a lot of money.

i miss the days when what was being spoofed was the same old formula. I mean we still get a few of them here and there. Shaun of the Dead with all zombie movies, Hot Fuzz with all cop-action movies, Top Secret with spy movies. and to a point, The Baxter with romantic comedies.
Honestly though, when these two jackasses finish the script to they read it back and laugh? because if they do, they're the only ones laughing. but in all fairness i would too if i was banking the amount of money they do each year.

i find it hard to believe the amount of spoof films these guys are making. i find it even harder to believe that so many people see these movies. i guess it shines light on the lack of need for anything original these days. this should premiere next to those big screen reality TV shows, you know spring break, the hills, my super sweet 16 (although that was a straight to DVD goldmine!)
