Discuss: Is Reality Television the Best Place for J-Lo?

I admit it, I have never, ever liked Jennifer Lopez. Part of this stems from that old Movieline interview where she rags on everyone with a shocking amount of overcharged ego. But the rest stems from the fact that I haven't liked her in anything I have seen her in. At least if I could appreciate the performances, the ego would have had some merit.
And I'm not the only anti-J-Lo moviegoer out there. You know you've got to reexamine your career when you get killed off in Jersey Girl and everyone applauds (a move reminiscent of Segal's clap-inducing demise in Executive Decision). But she still trucks on with movie roles, trying to make her cred meet her big tabloid name. But now Lopez, Marc Anthony, and her kids are heading for reality television, in a move I can only see as desperate.
Reuters reports that she will star and executive produce a new TLC series "about her life as an actress and singer, new mother of twins, and entrepreneur launching a fragrance line." But have no fear! She says that she thinks "it'll be something very exciting." Right.
Since these moves never give participants any sort of real cred, I imagine this is a desperate move rather than a carefully plotted point on her career path, and I would be immensely surprised if this helped her career . I see a melange of infomercials in her future if she's already looking at reality television, but what do you think? Is this a good move? A bad move? A bad move that makes you happy? A show you're dying to see? If so, why?

I am by no stretch of imagination a fan of this overhyped, undertalented individual. However, she was very, very good in _Out of Sight_.

I can't fathom wanting to watch this show. If Lopez isn't bad enough, there's Marc Anthony to sink it down deep. Maybe the classic story of a girl from the block working hard to create the world's next great scent will really draw people's interest.

Well at least she does, I believe, have the record for most sex scenes with different men in "U Turn."
I think she's actually beat out everyone with the total number of sex scenes in movies.
Did I mention I hate sex scenes in movies? I don't know how I'm supposed to react. It takes me out of the action, so I don't like them.

Ms. Lopez pretty much reminds me of Madonna with a better tan and nicer booty. She can't really act, she can't sing, she can't even dance. Those aren't good qualities to have if you're a singing, dancing actress. And now she's slapped her name on some clothing line and fragrance that other people have worked to create. That's some talent.
Her casting is the reason I've never bothered to see Out of Sight. Even after I'd heard it was a pretty decent movie, I'll see a clip of her "acting" in it and won't be able to bring myself to sit down and watch it. I'll settle for Carla Gugino's take on that character, thank you very much.
I think I'll pass on the reality show that shows what a great person she is.And if I ever in my life go deaf, I'll always know it was because of the J. Lo CD I was forced to listen to during an agonizing road trip to Miami.

Out of Sight was good. Cool little film with a great cast, and J Lo was actually likeable. It might be a bit overhyped though.
Now, if she kills people to make her fragrance...

I can't stand her. At her very best she comes off FLAT, even in Out of Sight. At her worst, watch out for the ego. Ugh. I thought she said once she had kids she'd try to stay OUT of the public eye. Hah. Hah hah hah. Oh well, at least she hasn't gotten divorced recently.
