New Dark Knight Posters Riff on Two-Face
Filed under: Action, Comic/Superhero/Geek, Remakes and Sequels, Images, Posters

Are any of you super-fans? I'm talking about the type of fanatic who will buy every single thing associated with a beloved franchise or movie -- from toys to posters -- plus any video store or movie theater paraphernalia that can be scored. If you are, what do you do if you love Christopher Nolan's take on Batman? More specifically, what happens if you run out of wall space? Do you keep them on rotation?* More posters for The Dark Knight have popped up online, over at Omelet.com, and you can check out one of them above.
I'm really digging these obscured-face posters (although not so much the action shots). They're eerie and simple, yet they say so much -- especially with the inclusion of Harvey Dent. It alludes to this whole Two-Face scenario, as well as the way each man chooses to fight -- with games, with weapons, and with politics. I just wish we didn't have to wait so long to see it! Yes, when we've been anxiously awaiting the dark world of Batman, and Heath Ledger's last complete performance, July 18 is too far away.
*And what do you do when the next movie you love comes out? Do you ever have retro months where everything from one movie comes out of storage?

i havent been this excited for a movie since the matrix and 300. This movie is the one movie of the year i want to see more than anything else. The trailers that show heath ledgers joker are soooo intense i was never a fan of his but the trailers wow. i feel bad saying this but the fact hes dead disappoints me more for the batman franchise. i dont think anyone else will be able to come in do what he did to the joker character.
cant wait to see this. u know im more hyped for this movie than i am for gta which will be out later on tonight..

I'm starting to overdose on pre-release promotion. This movie now has more posters, more trailers, and more websites then any movie released, ever. And there's three months to go! The danger of all this is, if this movie doesn't by default not only ends up great, but has to be no less then the greatest comic-booked based film, and if it keeps going its going to have the become the best action movie ever made, because come on Nolan, we're drowning in hype at this point.

I don't think so. The first was a reboot of the franchise, and possibly the greatest of the franchise. It's an epic movie in scale - made nearly $400 million worldwide, had a significant support actress replaced, and a main character died soon thereafter filming. Three months isn't that much in advance for hype...look at Harry Potter 7 Part 1 and Part 2. Or look at The Hobbit...we've been talking about that since LOTR was first coming out.

By far the most meaningful poster. Not very artsy, but if this was the first one to be leaked over a year ago... it would've set the stage and everything else would just be pretty pictures.

Im excited but Im keeping it down so I wont be disappointed and also many great films are out this year from Prince Caspian,Wall-E,the Bond movie,Indy 4 and Harry Potter. I hope to see less of Maggie because she's wrong for the part. Rather see Holmes for continuity sake and she fits the Rachel Dawes bill

I love this poster along with the Batman poster. I cringed at the Why So Serious one and the International poster because it looks so campy. Im one lucky lady to watch Bale,Eckhart and Ledger and my favorite actor Gary Oldman. The more I see Eckhart makes me think he would make a good Capt.America. hehe. I agree with Maggie Gyllenhaal. Sorry to be shallow but I love to see beautiful women that can act. Its already a given Batman's women dont win the Oscars. I can swoon over the hotness of Bale and Holmes but something is off because with Maggie women are lost what Bruce sees in her and the guys want her offed by the Joker.
btw, new second trailer is out for TDK.

That's what I call a beautiful movie poster. It's mysterious, it has an element of shock and horror to it; no viral campaign can match the directness and graphic fist of a really first rate poster.
