Tons More 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull' Images
Filed under: Action, Fandom, Movie Marketing, Remakes and Sequels, Images

Paramount has released the remainder of the Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull photos in anticipation of the film's May 22 release date (two weeks from today!). A few early (and negative) reviews can be found at the usual places, but I'm still holding out hope. I really think this is the sort of film you have to go in and just have fun with -- don't expect a masterpiece or an Oscar winner; expect to smile, laugh and cheer for a few old friends (and some new ones). Indiana Jones is truly an event film, so instead of rambling on about a plot you're already aware of and a cast you've seen mentioned a thousand times, we'd like to know what your plans are for seeing the film. Have you made them yet? Are you going with a group of friends on a particular day at a particular time? Will you wait to hear the buzz off the first weekend? Are you seeing it at all?
Check out all those new images in the gallery below, then tell us how you plan to see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

I've never missed Indy on Opening day and I won't this time either. THEN I will go with a group of not so rabid fans on Saturday. Good or bad, I expect when Ford throws the first punch the audience will forgive him anything. He is and will always be my hero.

I'm excited about the movie, but my favorite photo was still the one with George Lucas wearing a "Han shot first" t-shirt. At least he has a sense of humor about these things.

I'm moving to Austin from California the Monday before it opens, so I'll still be unpacking.
But the upside is that my Dad and best friend will be in town and the three of us are going.
I'm really excited to see it with my dad since I grew up watching Indy with him, so I can't wait.

I've been rewatching the originals the past few days, and they're such funny, inventive, exciting movies despite how incredibly hokey they are. (Which is the point.)
But Kingdom of the Crystal Skull just looks hokey.
Still, I'm seeing it on opening night; I'm hoping against hope that it will rule.

Erik, if you read this, I 'd just like to say I wish people had that mentality "I think this is the sort of film you have to go in and just have fun with -- don't expect a masterpiece or an Oscar winner; expect to smile, laugh and cheer for a few old friends (and some new ones)." Now, why can't people be like this with all the big budget actioners/scifi/silliness that makes it way on screen...people are overly harsh about films like Transformers, the Mission Impossible series, etc. in my opinion...they are entertaining and that is what they were made for...whether they are in contention for an oscar or any award for that matter as long as they have provided some entertainment, haven't they done what they intended?
(also if anyone watches films like Transformers or Iron Man and all you can do is complain about the negative then it is clear they need the umbrella removed from their ass!)

Those early reviews at Aintitcool.com missed the point big time. The problem with these Internet writers is they take a very snobby 'been there, done that' attitude towards everything. When Steven Spielberg said that making Indy 4 was the most fun he'd had as a director, you'd hope it would be infectious. Sadly people are holding out for Citizen Kane 2.
