Lindsay Lohan Dropped from 'Manson's Girls'
Just when you thought it couldn't get worse for Lindsay Lohan, Nikki Finke's Deadline Hollywood Daily reports that Lohan has been dropped from the true-life crime flick, Manson's Girls. According to DHD, "people associated with the movie told agents that Lohan quickly became more of a deficit than an asset when they discovered that they couldn't find any name actresses who wanted to co-star with her. (And even some name actors...) So now Lindsay is off the pic."
Ouch, that can't be good for her self-esteem, although the gossip gal in me would have liked to hear the names of some of those "name actors".
The decline of Lohan has been well documented, but like most of us, I kind of assumed that she would be able to pull herself together. But other than a new TV gig and a laughable new song over at People Magazine's Web site, the high-profile offers aren't coming in like they used to. Gossip wags have already jumped on the story as an excuse to highlight her party lifestyle as the source of the problem -- but show me a Hollywood A-lister who doesn't have a few skeletons in their closet.
This is the second blow to Lohan's big comeback since her dance drama, Dare to Love Me, hit the skids. But all is not lost; she has a chance to turn this all around when she stars in the Jack Black comedy, Ye Olde Times. Otherwise, I'd start to look for Lohan in a future season of Celebrity Rehab.

Three words:
Robert Downey Jr.
If he can do it, she can do it.

Didn't Robert Downey Jr. actually have some talent and some hit films to his credit BEFORE he went awash in drugs?
Seems to be the big difference here.

Actually, I think she's pretty talented. She hosted Saturday Night Live three times and she can play different characters in front of a live audience very well. That's more than I can say for a lot of other actors.
Also, don't forget Drew Barrymore as a success stories. She was even younger than Lindsay Lohan when she had her drug and alcohol problems, and she turned out okay too.

Also, Mean Girls, Freaky Friday, and the Parent Trap were hit films too.

I don't believe her career is over...if the likes of Charlie Sheen, RDJ and Drew Barrymore careers can bounce back from booze and drug hell, so can Lohan's.
However she has to be seen to be taking her career seriously. Right now she's just a tabloid queen and overexposed. She needs to disappear for a while...

It's probably better she doesn't do a "Mean Girls" sequel, anyway.
(I kid.)
Lindsay Lohan is quite a talent (and quite a bombshell), to be sure, and there is no question in my mind that she could potentially resuscitate her dying career if she can somehow manage to tone down her hard-partying, harder-drinking ways, fire her agent, and pick some projects with some reasonable pedigree and panache.
I mean, she's only young, gorgeous, rich, and famous, all at once, once, so I can understand the killer urge to live it up but that blessing is a doube-edged sword, especialy for female actors.
I mean, how many editorial articles have we all read lamenting the state of noteworthy roles for women and the cruel, unfair average-age of leading ladies in this industry? As terrible as it is to admit, Ms. Lohan's primary concern should be her ever-shrinking window of time to capitalize on her youth, fame and beauty to procure major roles in major motion pictures before the opportunities completely cease to exist.
This is what separates her career's re-viability from that of, say, the aforementioned RDJ. Her gender simply is unfortunately another obstacle stacked against her.
I know the offers just aren't there like they used to but it's not like she's a newcomer, no-name actor. She's got the chops, she's got the experience, she's got the appeal, she just needs the fight to let everyone know it all over again in movies that people would actually want to see.
Wasting what should be her prime drunk, high, passed out, and/or fornicating constantly is just sublimely stupid.

Unfortunately, Lindsey was one of the very lucky few A Listers who had NO talent whatsoever and she slid by with her Disney Movies because they're geared towards children and they don't judge by acting.
Lindsey is box office poison and I don't blame the actors/actresses for refusing to work with her, it's their career too. Honestly when was the last time she had a hit movie...Freaky Friday and Mean Girls but Mean Girls was mostly due to Rachael McAdams. Honestly, every single movie of hers tanked after MG, everyone one of them. So who the heck would want to be on that trainwreck? If Lindsey takes some acting lessons, works really hard at staying sober and breaks all professional ties with that greedy mother of her, she may be able to break back into the business with indies. That's what Drew did and it worked great for her. Roberty Downey Jr. shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as Lindsey...ugh...he's a great actor, she's embarrassing to watch on screen.

Maybe her problems with drugs and alcohol are not the reason people don't want to work with her. Maybe it is her attitude. I can overlook someone's personal problems, especially if they have gotten help, but when someone thinks they are better than me I stay away!

There are a lot of talented people in Hollywood !
Movies cost a lot of money to produce. They can't keep rescheduling and postponing things .. and keeping other acting professionals on hold while the druggie losers get their f***ing shit together.
They need to just move on with production .. hire other more dependable talent .. and let the drugged out losers wallow in their drug induced stupors.
These half wits need to realize that they ARE replaceable. If they don't appreciate the lifestyle maybe they don't deserve to have it.
Let them hit rock bottom and see how they like living in the gutter with the rest of the degenerates.

Drew had the Barrymore name to pull her back and give her that second chance...Lohan's family is a dysfunctional mess that most will not invest in. Lohan could have had it all but drugs and sex and drunk driving took priority. I don't feel sorry for her at all.

Besides the skeletons in Lohan's closet, she also has a stolen fur coat. haha Did you see the comparison photos in the newspaper the other day? Lohan was wearing a fur coat, supposedly stolen, and the model (accusing Lohan of stealing the coat) was wearing the coat in another photo. The inside lining on the right side of the coat is a perfect match in both photos. Lohan's a thief. She should be charged with burglary or at the least grand theft. No wonder nobody wants to work with her. She's bad news.

Lohan's career is over. People only see her now as a drugged-out, drunken skank at 21 whose prime has passed already. There are other up and coming new actresses who do respect themselves and who are willing to do the work Lohan was doing.
