At Last! A Trailer For 'The X-Files: I Want to Believe'!

The trailer is predictably creepy, but also typically vague. There is not much of a sense here as to what the movie will be about other than an unexplained phenomenon and missing girls -- I felt compelled to go back and look at the plot details just to appreciate it a little better. With all the cool movies coming out this summer, I don't know if I'm hooked enough to buy a ticket yet to this one. Nearly, though!
I know it can't be -- but the sadistic looking dude with the needle looks an awful lot like Alex Krychek.
If you need an additional Mulder and Scully fix, there are two viral videos that were released this weekend. They feature the two FBI Agents reminiscing about each other, which suggests this movie is a reunion on all fronts. They are a bit odd, mostly because they are so short and random. They're included after the jump.
The X-Files: I Want to Believe opens July 25th.

This looks like evry supernatural thriller Hollywood has been doing for the past eight years, and that's not good, beause, well, it the 90s' was like really original, and now it's so common and badly done that it doesn't look interesting. But they do have the plus of the creator making the script, so, this could actually end well, but I seriously doubt so.

I'm pretty sure the 'creepy' guy is Callum Keith Rennie, who also plays Leoben Conoy on Battlestar Galactica.

A few years ago if you had told me that the summer of 08 would feature an X-Files movie, another Indiana Jones, and that the biggest hit would be a movie based on an obscure comic character that 99% of people have never heard of, I'd tell you you're crazy.

You need plot details? What more do you need to be convinced that is going to be awesome? I'm such an "X-Files" fan. I loved the series from begining to end, and yes even stuck with it after David Duchovny left the series. I was watching the first film yesterday and really enjoyed it. Can't wait to see "X-Files 2".

If they changed Mulder to a playboy billionaire turned vigilante when his parents are killed and switched the bad-guy/bad-alien/whatever with a psychotic murdering clown...and replaced the actors with Bale and Ledger, then I'd be convinced that this is going to be awesome.
They can keep Scully...she's still hot.

Is this movie still about aliens?? If not, what's the point?
