'Evil Dead: The Musical' Planning Special 300th Show Celebration
Filed under: Horror, Music & Musicals, Fandom, Exhibition
As much as I love Evil Dead: The Musical, and think it's the best thing since sliced bread, I never thought that I'd be able to share the following news: The production, which includes original Ash star Ryan Ward, is celebrating its 300th show at the Diesel Playhouse in Toronto. But it's more than just a big number -- according to Diesel, this makes it the longest running Canadian show in Toronto history. Five college students on the way to an old abandoned cabin in the woods has beat out every other Canadian production. Never underestimate the power of some sprayed fake blood!
The special anniversary night is going to have cheaper tickets, free goodies, an after-party and prizes to win. However, you have to go through a few hoops to get them. If you happen to be in the city and want to go, do a little searching and you'll find the letter that went out to fans.
Plus: The production hasn't only moved to Korea. A version of the musical is opening at the Willows Theatre Company in Concord, California on June 13, and will run until July 26. It's not the Ward-headed cast, but it's better than nothing! Go get bloody!
