Monday Morning Poll: Your Favorite Pixar Film?

Well, the time has finally come for another funtastic Pixar film to hit the big screen. This Friday, Wall·E touches down on earth, and naturally its impending arrival has got us thinking about those nutty dudes over at Pixar who took giant risks, worked their asses off and revolutionized the world of animation. I'm fully aware that naming your favorite Pixar film is kinda like naming your favorite child, but it's fun to look back over the years and attempt to come up with the one Pixar flick that entertained us the most.
Which do you hold closest to your heart? I'm sure everyone has a soft spot for the original Toy Story, but most folks I've spoken with feel The Incredibles was the best all-around Pixar film. Me? I'm a Monsters, Inc. guy. Yup, that's my favorite Pixar film. I just remember having so much fun watching Monsters, Inc. for the first time -- more fun than I had watching any other Pixar flick (with Toy Story and The Incredibles following closely behind). My least favorite is Cars, though I was sick the one time I watched it and have been meaning to give it another chance. Should I? Which is your favorite Pixar film (feature, not short)? Feel free to tell us why in the comments below ...

I loved "Cars", with "Finding Nemo" being a close second. I hated "Incredibles". I found it boring, although I haven't seen it in a while so I'll give it's due for another viewing.
I haven't seen "Rat" yet, but I'm looking forward to it.

I would have to say the original toy story is my fave..the only reason probably being that when it first came out i was 15, and at the time i was blown away:
the characters were the most intriguing i had ever seen on screen at that age, and everything from the dialogue to the jokes to the action scenes all had a perfect timing that ran through the entire movie that i still highly respect now..
it's crazy 'cause i'm usually not sentimental, but when it comes to this movie..i can't help but cave in.
finding nemo is a strong, non-sentimental # 2.

I find it interesting that the most popular Pixar movie by this poll (as of this moment) is The Incredibles, with 42%... the Pixar movie with people who can talk talking, and not fish or toys or cars or whatever. Brad Bird is a genius, though... The Iron Giant is probably the most underappreciated animated film of all time.
Forget Toy Story 3, when is Pixar going to make The Incredibles 2?!

the Incredibles is truly an incredible movie. The family dynamic they portray on-screen is absolutely 100% spot-on. I still get choked up when Helen is in the airplane and she's yelling 'Disengage! Disengage! There are children aboard this plane! Disengage!' then the look on her face as she realizes Violet can't make the barrier herself, and its her fault because she never let them use their powers. Its powerful stuff for me

Cars is the only one that has disappointed me. Today, I'd say Ratatouille is my favorite - by far, it's the sharpest script - but I couldn't say without a doubt until I got a chance to review each one. It's been years since I've watched anything pre-Nemo.

I love the Incredibles and I agree the family dynamic makes it work as well as it does. (The part that gets me is when they are arguing and Mr Incredible says "I'm not strong enough!) Followed closely by Toy Story (both) & Monsters. Nemo would be right there but I've seen it maybe 100 times with my daughter who couldn't get enough of it. I wasn't really impressed with Cars the first time I watched it, but I've watched a couple times with my daughter and I've grown to like it more. It's got more depth than I originally gave it credit for.

I'm a Monsters, Inc. guy too. I saw it five times in the theater.
Perhaps it's because it has one of the best endings ever:

'cars' has a lot of meta content that people might not notice or understand right away. i don't think it's pixar's best ('the incredibles' for me), but it's by no means a bad movie.
the pixar movies i've been the most ambivalent about are bugs life, finding nemo and toy story 2 (was kinda shocked by that last one really, but i'd still rather watch TS1 over it every time.)

The incredibles is my favorite Pixar creation, very closely followed by Monsters Inc, and although The Incredibles is my favorite movie, my favorite character, hands down, is Mike Wazowski. You honestly don't get any better than that.

'The Incredibles' was my favorite Pixar flick so far. To me, it's got everything - and lots of it - you'd ever want in a keep-the-nephews-occupied-movie... that you can actually sit through yourself without keeping tabs on the clock every time a scene changes.
Not only is 'Incredibles' my favorite Pixar movie, it's up there as one of my favorite period.
Though it's a hard choice. The Pixar folks are magicians when it comes to bringing character to anything: inanimate toys, bugs (the eight-legged kind and four-wheeled kind), rodents, etc. and making it fun to watch at the same time.
When 'Cars' was fixing to be released, I admit at first, I was saying to myself "Well, they can't all be good movies."
So far, Pixar has proved me wrong every single time. I'll be seeing Wall-E the first day.

Wow, I knew people liked The Incredibles but more than Toy Story? Maybe nostalgia has taken control of my brain, but I just don't think they've topped their debut. Woody and Buzz! There's just...well, incredible, about seeing something new and that's how I felt about Toy Story. I had never seen anything like that before and it blew me away. I guess the magic stuck with me. I really enjoyed The Incredibles but it wasn't anywhere close to Toy Story.

Well I think they should make an Incredibles 2, and can't believe they haven't yet. Especially when you see how they've contended here. I agree with Brad Bird thought that the studios that push sequels don't come out with something well-rounded. Instead we are left with money makers. Down with the franchise-centered! I still love Finding Nemo.

My favorite is definitely Toy Story. The magic of watching that film on the big screen for the first time was unbelievable, especially considering that I was only five years old when it came out. I have loved it greatly ever since.
The Incredibles is a close second, though, and after that I'd go Ratatouille, Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc., and Cars. The only Pixar movie that I haven't absolutely loved has been A Bug's Life, which for some reason I have never been able to enjoy.

Ratatouille! By far, the best one. Simple script, beautiful emotions, beautiful plot, amazing animation, and I'm in love with Remy and Emile.
Not to mention, it has the most beautiful ending of them all. The ending is spectacular. I watched it 13 times till today and always been crying when it comes to Ego's monolog/news paper review at the end of the movie.
Superb!
Next in line is Cars and Monster Inc.
