The Trailer for 'RocknRolla' is Here!

This makes my week! Empire has the exclusive debut of the new RocknRolla trailer -- click over there to watch it, and see new stills. It is dizzyingly awesome -- and there is way more going on than just a shady real estate deal. A lucky painting, a rock star who is presumed dead, American thugs, Russian mafia, British gangsters, and lots of sex and blood to tie it all together. It really looks like a return to form for Guy Ritchie, which is certainly what we were all hoping for.
But you all know I'm disgustingly biased, because this trailer is just full of Gerard Butler. He's shooting, running, stripping off his shirt, and doing all sorts of sexy things. I'm not at all sure what the heck he is doing trussed up on that bed, but it can't be good (my mind will not be at ease until I know what is going on there).
RocknRolla comes out in theatres October 31st, but the UK gets it September 5th. Now where did I put my passport ...

That actually looks pretty fun. Sure, it's a lot like Snatch and Lock, Stock, but these are the sorts of films Ritchie does well on and the ones I've enjoyed watching from him. I think I'll see this based solely on what looks to be a terrific Tom Wilkinson performance. Good, solid cast -- fingers crossed on it.

I am excited about this too. As a huge Gerard Butler fan, I have some bad news. The guy ripping his shirt off in the trailer is not Gerry. It is confusing cuz they show a head shot of Gerard, then the shirt getting ripped. I had to watch it over and over, pausing during that scene. I know, it is a dirty job but someone had to do it!
