Monday Morning Poll: Will Smith's Best Action Film?
Filed under: Action, New Releases, Fandom, Polls

Since this week finds fireworks in the sky and a new Will Smith action flick in theaters (Hancock), we thought it might be fun to take a look back at Smith's previous action films and try to decide which one we like the best. We're not including all of Smith's films here, because, well, it's kinda unfair to compare, say, The Pursuit of Happyness or Ali to Men in Black or I, Robot. Perhaps next time we'll take a look at Smith's watered down, dramatic efforts, but for now we'll stick to the rock-em-sock-em fan favorites.
And since I always give my opinion before asking for yours, I'm going to say that out of all of Smith's action-adventure films, Bad Boys is my favorite. Yes, I've gone with the Michael Bay film -- kill me now! Actually, now that Smith is a huge, mega star, we don't see him in buddy films anymore -- and watching him opposite Martin Lawrence in Bad Boys (as well as Tommy Lee Jones in Men in Black) was an absolute blast. The sequel(s) ... well, how about we not go there. What say you, Will Smith fans -- which of his action films is your favorite?

as much as i loved "men in black" and "i, robot," my choice is independence day because smith stole the show and played a huge role in saving the world in the process!

I wouldn't necessarily call it a full on action movie, but Men In Black is a classic.

I, Robot was good and definitely an action movie. I cant call Independence Day and action movie as it was MOSTLY planes therefore computer crap.
His best movie combining action and story. Regardless Will smith's best movie by FAR Enemy of The State. I can watch that 50 times and still enjoy it. I dont know a single person that has a negative thing to say about it.

I don't know if anyone noticed, but Independence Day is a pretty bad movie. The clichés just go on and on. Enemy of the State is far and away his best movie.

I went with Bad Boys as well...Michaels Bay gets way more shit that he deserves...now he may have a personality that gets to people - that is clear from the internet bashing he receives but other than Pearl Harbor (which had some cool action scenes) all his films are entertaining high octane, super-glossed out visual feasts - I just don't get the negativity.

Now where's the love for pulse pounding thrill ride that was "Legend"? And of course by "Legend" I mean "The Legend of Bagger Vance".

I am firmly in the "Enemy of the State" camp, In fact I would say that it is the only one I would bother to watch again.

Considering The Conversation is one of my all-time favorite films, Enemy of the State was the action movie that made me really, really appreciate Will Smith movies.
