Was 'Hulk' Director Offered New 'Superman' Gig???

There was an interview with Incredible Hulk director Louis Leterrier over at AlloCiné (via AICN) in which someone threw out a number of different sequels (Spider-Man, Superman, Indiana Jones), and (I think) asked if he'd be interested in directing any of them. Now, according to someone who wrote in to AICN, Leterrier stopped at Superman and said something like ... "maybe they have already asked me." We here at Cinematical have watched the video in question (you can too over here), and he definitely does look at the camera, smile and say something regarding the Superman sequel. I don't speak French, though, but it appears as if that's the correct translation. So, has Warners already talked to Leterrier about possibly directing the next Superman movie? And is Leterrier the big-name action director Wanted's Mark Millar mentioned when he recently talked up his own Superman project? As AICN points out, Leterrier is currently working on the Clash of the Titans remake for Warners, so it seems reasonable for them to also talk to him about Superman. Is DC trying to steal a Marvel guy? Interesting development ...
What say you? Would Leterrier do a better job than Singer on Superman?
UPDATE: Leterrier contacted AICN and said the following: "What I meant was that I had been told about a possible reinvention of Superman. Not that I was offered the job." Take that as you will ...

The exact translation regarding the Superman question is: "Funny you should say that...maybe they've already asked me."
He moves on very quickly to the other question as if not wanting to linger on the Superman question, maybe because of an NDA?
I think the "funny you should say that" part says a lot.
Also, for those interested, he explains the whole Ed Norton writing involvement very clearly. The way he puts it, Zak Penn and him were involved in drafts 1 trough 4, Norton was involved in rewrites from draft 4 to 12.

hasn't millar told us that the director that he wants involved is american? that makes me lean towards Leterrier just having some fun with the press.

Anyone should direct but Singer, I'd even let Ratner take a swing at returning Superman to the red-blooded, insatiable pussy-hound, American hero that we all know and love. Singer absolutely ruined Superman and turned him into a complete trannie.

This would be FANTASTIC! Reboot, revamp, re-whatever-it-takes, to get this franchise back on track and away from Singer! Hallelujah.

I was on the set of "Bones" recently and I saw a Actor Joe Davis, who looked just like Christopher Reeves (Superman). This guy does stunts, acts, writes, and is a nice guy. We talked because I had to tell him.
He gets told this many times a day. He tries to hide it. He's more of a real man and in his 40's...He (Joe Davis) said he likes working with Brett Ratner, Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg.
