Video Fix: 'Dark Knight' Cameos -- Holtz
Filed under: Fandom, Trailers and Clips
Yesterday I kicked this week off with a lovely taste of the luscious ladies man also known as Batmanuel, also known as the Mayor of Gotham. This time, I wanted to go with Polk, played by K. Todd Freeman. Years ago he was Mr. Trick on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but there's no good embeddable clips of his role online. (And I can't, for the life of me, remember what he did in The Dark Knight. Help!)
So instead, I'm moving on to another player in the Joss Whedon universe. You might have recognized Detective Stevens, played by Keith Szarabajka. While he's the law these days in Gotham, he used to be a man named Holtz, hell-bent on revenge in Angel. Remember? He came through time, all to pay back Angel, and ended up kidnapping Connor and bringing him to a hell dimension? It's all because of the above.

I remember him more as Robert McCall's occasional assistant Mickey on "The Equalizer."

K. Todd Freeman played Polk who I think was one of the police guards outside of Dent's hospital room.

Yeah K. Todd Freeman was the cop saying "Davis?" and then got shot by the Joker in the nurse's uniform

Wasn't he the cop who tries to beat up the Joker in the holding cell and is then his hostage while he makes his phone call. Cut the hair and shave the goatee and that's who I think it is.

Yes, thats who s Monika was saying Keith Szarabajka was, and she was right. However, she was asking who K. Todd Freeman played in the movie, and so people are responding to that. You're confusing the question posed by paragraph one with the description in paragraph two that is attached to the video.

Look, i really don't mean to be mean here, but this is ridiculous. I didn't really think the Dark Knight was crazy overblown with coverage until this second.
First, the movie is out...move on! A few posts about "how was it?" are fine, but this is silly. If there is news, post it.
Second, and more to the point, every C-level actor that has ever played on a sci-fi TV show or movie and then appears in another one does NOT constitute a cameo. Batmanuel was cute given that the character he played was a Batman knock-off. That's funny. But this? Huh? In that case, there were a few "cameos" from SG1 actors in Iron Man earlier this year. Why didn't they get coverage?
This is why actors don't like to take on fan-boy fodder roles. They get lucky with a bit part in a major motion picture and its a "cameo of the guy that played on that season 3 episode of Buffy".
If it was someone from Smallville, that might again be interesting because of the DC Comics connection, but this... puh-leeze.

Why is it that no matter what the topic, someone has to come along and ruin everyone's fun by demonstrating just how much sand is in their vagina?
These posts are fun and silly and I hope they continue if only to annoy Paul.

Haha, well said Malren. Paul, if you find these posts annoying then move on to the next one. What the hell do you care if the fanboy's geek over every aspect of a movie? Lighten up.

THAT'S WHO HE WAS! Both times I saw TDK, I was like, "that guy looks so familiar . . . " but couldn't place it. Now I remember, he was the initially interesting character that led to the incredibly boring and never-ending Connor debacle on Angel. Season 4 of Angel is so tiresome.
But yeah, Holtz was a good character and Season 3 might have been the best Angel season. Ends on such an awesome downer.
