Video Fix: 'Dark Knight' Cameos -- Stuka
Filed under: Comic/Superhero/Geek, Remakes and Sequels, Trailers and Clips
This latest cameo in The Dark Knight made be both happy and disappointed. You see, Nicky Katt is so much more than just the Stuka shtick. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, check out the clip above. Basically, it's the dude being super, extra talkative when most other people probably wouldn't. In Sin City, that meant blabbering on after getting an arrow right through your torso. In TDK, that means going on and on about how the high-speed chase just isn't good.
Yes, that super-talkative cop from the chase scene is none other than Nicky Katt, Stuka, the detective in The Brave One, the puss-filled guy in Planet Terror, the Carnoburger Cashier in The Doom Generation, and the marijuana-smoking Clint in Dazed and Confused.
I'm happy to see him wherever he pops up, but please -- Hollywood Powers that Be, don't relegate Katt to just over-talkative guys in the action. He's so much more than light-tongued typecasting!

I was wondering during The Dark Knight if that was him or not. I figured it was just my desire to see Nicky Katt in every movie, since I couldn't find him in the credits. Thanks for the confirmation though. I was litterally sitting there thinking "Is that Nicky Katt? That's Nicky Katt! Wait...is that Nicky Katt? It is...woah, woah, who put that shitty "I didn't sign up for this" line in the middle of this awesome movie-holy shit an explosion!"
But I digress.
"You wanna party with Nate?!"

"Cameo"...
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

1) brent is right, you obviously really dont mean what cameo means. the next column will probably be like "Oh man I saw Patrick Bateman in the new Batman movie." There is a difference between cameo and simply citing other films an actor has appeared in
2) nicky katt will go down in history as being one of the few blemishes on a truly great film. i've liked him before but in this he was just a joke, filling action breaks with stupid reactions and 1 liners. If only he was in that one cop vehicle that when into the river...

According to IMDB he was also in "Batman & Robin", but I don't remember seeing him. How many actors have appeared in both the Burton/Schumacher series and the Nolan series?

He is uncredited in TDK. Plays Police Officer #1 in the recently released HAROLD, but don't expect to see him in anything else for a while.
