Zac Efron and Claire Danes in 'Me and Orson Welles'

On the 21st, I shared pictures of Zac Efron, Christian McKay, and others on the set of Richard Linklater's Me and Orson Welles. Now we can get a peek at his older love interest, Claire Danes, in the picture above, courtesy of EW.
In the film, Efron is an aspiring actor who gets a bit part in a Welles production, and then gets sexy with the older, perky production assistant (Danes). According to Richard Linklater: "He's falling for this older woman. She's taking him for a bit of a ride." With that smirk above? No!
We already know that Danes has a pattern with this impressionable young men. Do you remember what she did with Igby? But at least Steve Martin gave her a taste of her own Shopgirl medicine.
Me and Orson Welles debuts next Friday at TIFF.

Anyone questioning the strength of Zac Efron's ability to draw a wide, diverse audience for a period movie has not followed the media - and I'm not talking about teen magazines. Interviews on TV talk shows around the world and publications from Elle to Rolling Stones created a strong fan demographic of women ages 25 - 60+. We follow his development because of his charming personality, charisma and his expression of "old fashioned" positive values and attitudes...the beautiful package is a great bonus. His young fans will go to anything with his name on it, but his growing fan base is shifting to a mature audience that has enjoyed watching the talented young man evolve into a sexy, inspiring leading man. Don't underestimate the power of 40+ women. Famous young leading men have always attracted older women.

Here! Here! Mrs. Becca B. I have watched this talented young man for a while and have no doubts that his ability to draw a diverse audience in strong. He has already shown his singing and dancing talent, which has drawn the younger generation, but there are those who appreciate the talent for drama that he showed in "Miricle Run" and "Summerland" (on TV). Even in the poorly scripted small independent movie "Derby Stallion" Zac gave a solid performance. He is a very talented young man who as he matures, his abilities and talent will grown with him. By the way, I fit into that strong fan demographic of women ages 25 - 60+.

I have been saying all along that Zac Efron can turn on any woman. This handsome, straight actor is going to be a major romantic and action star as long as he chooses the right material.
