Rumor Killer: Will James Bond Ever Seduce ... A Man?

Ever since Daniel Craig took over as James Bond and helped re-boot the entire franchise with a modern, serious spin, folks have wondered how far, exactly, they'd take our favorite secret agent. Not long ago there was a rumor that Bond would go full frontal in Casino Royale, but that came and went. And then, for some odd reason, fans pondered whether Bond would ever seduce a man ... or if a man would ever seduce him. Perhaps the rumor began when Craig co-starred in Infamous and shared a kiss with Toby Jones -- or maybe a select group of fans simply like to push the buttons of those who would rather ... let's just say not be down for watching Bond take on a homosexual experience.
Well, most of you have nothing to worry about (and I say 'most' because I know our readers like to get their freak on and wouldn't mind some Bond on Hanz action). While in London, Craig addressed the issue and, regarding whether Bond would ever seduce another man, he said: " No. Kill him and then seduce him [laughs] but not seduce him. This is that question that keeps eternally coming up but it's never been on the agenda and we've never had a discussion about it. It's not something that I desire or want. No." Or shall we call that a Double-O No?
What do you think? Is there room in the franchise for them to play around with this idea?

That'd be interesting. I mean, CASINO ROYALE already provided fanservice by having Craig appear more naked than the Bond girls. (Example: In one scene. Bond and Vesper are at the beach. He's wearing super short bathing trunks while she's just wearing a big ol' shirt!) So why not provide more fanservice to the girls who like that gay stuff! ^_^

This was a rumour started by craigisnotbond people as a means to discredit Daniel Craig. Yes, he's played gay characters but he plays the role AS IT IS WRITTEN. He also plays straight roles too you know? He has no agenda, he's just playing a role whatever the sexual preference that the character has. He is an actor obviously comfortable enough with himself and his own sexuality as a heterosexual man, that he can play characters different from himself.
Craig has said many times he has respect for the character of Bond. Craig has a strong commitment to Bond and wants to do it right. So far he's given us an incredible film in Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace is shaping up to be just as if not more fantastic.
Let this rumour die please.

Bond like a lot of other iconic characters who verge on the two-dimensional can lend themselves easily to having a parallel gay life in fandom. James T Kirk is the classic. Dont Spock with your mouth full is something hes being often reminded of. Certainly Daniel Craig is more metrosexual in his appeal to both men and women and has often got his tackle out on screen. So what if Bond wants to hide the sausage- or in Brit terms the "Banger". I'm sure a lot of his arch nemesisies would
be up for a rodgering from his OH OH 7! Blowfelt seems to be the obvious candidate. Oddjob is another one.

I feel that if the situation called for it, Bond would seduce anyone if it could get him further in his game plan whether it was a man or a woman. People work their advantages. I'm sure that if some gay man had information leading to bringing down the bad guy, Bond wouldn't resist a little tonsil hockey to get what he needed. I'm not necessarily saying he would bed the dude but would definitely apply the steam pressure.

I agree! A slow strip in the locker room followed by a long hot soapy shower in full view of your target, there's very few men who don't play to the gallery when their ego demands it and JB has got a big EGO. As for national security if his Queen wanted it he'd get down to it!!

I guess I see what you mean about the locker room and shower but I think it would stop there. Bond would get himself invited back to said target's hotel room, get him hot enough to tell where the secret safe is and then knock him out with a serum or such before things went too far. You can see Craig in a similar situation in "Enduring Love" where he pulls the bait and switch on his infatuated gay stalker.
